Donors and Scholars Reception 2010
We are delighted to welcome you to LSE this evening to celebrate the continuing success of 6.30pm Welcome drinks
LSE’s scholarship programme.
Our annual Donors and Scholars Reception provides those who have generously supported 7pm Speakers:
scholarships at the School with the opportunity to meet with current scholarship recipients Introduction by Simeon Underwood, Academic Registrar
and hear first hand about the impact that this support has made.
In the current academic year alone LSE has awarded around £13 million in scholarships, Remarks and thank you from scholarship recipients:
bursaries and awards to its student body. Of this total, £2.5 million has come from
philanthropic gifts made by the School’s alumni and friends. Thanks to this support and Aleksis Razmus, Lord Dahrendorf Scholar,
generosity, LSE was able to award scholarships to over 250 gifted students, enabling some Masters student in the Department of Finance, Latvia
of the most talented individuals from across the world to benefit from the opportunity of Charlotte Gerada, Bottriell Scholar,
an LSE education.
