Fee Concession
Application Form for eligible children & spouses of staff undertaking courses
This form must be completed annually when making an application in respect of each beneficiary for a fee
concession to pursue a Degree/Diploma course.
The Fee Concession Scheme is applicable to each child of eligible staff members (permanent full-time staff
employed on or before 30 September 1992) attending either UCC or one of the other Irish Universities where
reciprocal arrangements are in place, i.e., TCD, UCD, UCG and NUIM. Concessions for each child are limited
to the fees payable in respect of one undergraduate and one postgraduate programme only. The Scheme does
not apply to attendance at short courses or conferences. The Scheme shall not apply concurrently in the case of
students who hold Higher Education Grants.
Concessions in respect of children shall be granted only for as long as they are living with and/or dependant on
their parents for maintenance. The staff member needs to confirm this at the time of application. The onus rests
with the staff member to notify the Finance Office of any change in status during the period of concession that
would affect their eligibility to the concession.
It is essential that the Application Form is completed by the Staff Member rather than the beneficiary
where the fee concession is being availed of by a spouse or child.

In order for the beneficiary to be eligible for a Fee Concession, the following criteria must be met:
1. A staff member cannot be on Unpaid Leave, Leave of Absence or a Career Break when claiming a
concession in respect of their spouse\child
2. The beneficiary must not have exceeded the entitlement to funding for one undergraduate and one
postgraduate programme of study
I certify that the beneficiary is currently living with\and or dependent on me for maintenance and I undertake
to notify the Finance Office of any change in status during the period of concession that would affect their
eligibility to the concession. I also certify that the foregoing information supplied by me is correct and I agree
