 Why is God pleased when we create art?

 What are some examples from the Bible to suggest that God enjoys art?

 Does art need to be religious (portray religious figures/scenes) for us to enjoy it?

art?’ and come up with your own definition of what make art.



Consider the following questions:



 What materials can an artist use to create art? We tend to think of painting,

sculpture, drawing, etc., but what about other materials? Is there anything that

cannot be used to create art?

 What about architecture and decorative art? Are they in the same category as

painting, drawing and sculpture, or would you define them differently?

of Marcel Duchamp. Are these works art? Why or why not?

 How have changes of what is art changed through time? What makes art good or

bad?

 Should the definition of what is art be assessed more on personal preference or

judgment of the elements?

learned?

 How do artists preserve and reflect the beliefs and traditions of their culture?

 What types of art do you see represented? What type is predominant?
