Global PR Director

This is a highly rewarding and unique opportunity for a strong PR Director with
outstanding leadership and communication skills, to join a highly respected advisory
firm to drive and lead the team to the next level.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this exciting and demanding role pertains
ensuring PR Officers are building the media database globally and developing
relationships with key publications. The candidate should be confident in dealing with
press and understand the importance of working within press deadlines.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Lead the PR and Events/Tour team
Planning, developing and Implementing PR strategies globally ensuring co-
ordination amongst PR officers
Ensuring PR officers are researching, writing and distributing press releases to
targeted media as well as arranging ‘features’ opinion pieces in key
publications
Provide PR training to analysts/consultants where necessary
Build awareness of the brand by having analysts speak at external
conferences and internal events. Marketing collaborations with conference
organizers/sponsors are required to maximize brand impact.
Manage and organize events with the aim of leveraging the brand image
Budget preparation and analysis
Ensure preparation of publicity brochures, handouts, promotional videos,
photographs for the press
You will be an ‘ideas’ person as well as a strong communicator, and be able to
manage all areas of a public relations program
Improve Ovum’s share of voice in targeted markets
Lead the development of Ovum’s Social Media Strategy and ensure effective
measurement techniques
Report key performance metrics to Ovum leadership team monthly as well as
quarterly
You will need to demonstrate:
- Director level experience, within ICT
- Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills
- A solid media understanding, including digital, print and broadcast
- Implementation and deliver of business plans across the division
- Strategy implementation of brand exposure and new business
- P&L and line management of the whole division
- Overall management of relationships across all international counterparts
- A tertiary qualification preferred with experience in at least telecoms and
technology
