Aims and Objectives of the Course
Main part of this course are; structure of materials and investigation of materials
which are used widely in engineering. Objective of the course is to provide the students with
sufficient information on the stress-strain behavior of materials to make possible an intelligent
selection materials in design.

Structure of materials and their imperfections
Allows
Phase transformations and diagrams of solid state
Mechanical properties of materials
Iron and steel equilibrium diagram
Plastic, application area of plastics
Corrosion, prevantation, methods of corrosion
Laboratory experiments for a course on mechanical behavior of engineering materials
Assessment Methods
One written midterm exam and one written final exam are scheduled at the semester.
30% of the midterm and 70% of the final must be equal or greater than 60.

The aim of this course is to provide the students a firm foundation in agricultural
manufacturing sectors, concepts and practical works. The students learn all of the knowledge
about machinery manufacturing sectors.
