Aims and Objectives of the Course



Main part of this course are; structure of materials and investigation of materials

which are used widely in engineering. Objective of the course is to provide the students with

sufficient information on the stress-strain behavior of materials to make possible an intelligent

selection materials in design.



Course Contents



 Structure of materials and their imperfections

 Allows

 Phase transformations and diagrams of solid state

 Mechanical properties of materials

 Iron and steel equilibrium diagram

 Plastic, application area of plastics

 Corrosion, prevantation, methods of corrosion

 Laboratory experiments for a course on mechanical behavior of engineering materials



Assessment Methods



One written midterm exam and one written final exam are scheduled at the semester.

30% of the midterm and 70% of the final must be equal or greater than 60.

Aims and Objectives of the Course



The aim of this course is to provide the students basic knowledge of mechanics and

how to behave about mechanical problem solution. The students learn static and dynamic

rules.

 Introduction to the engineering mechanics

 Unit systems

 Principles of mechanics

 Forces on plane, center of mass

 Plane structures

 Friction, kinematics, kinetic

 Motion on plane

 Conservation of energy

 Impulse and momentum



Assessment Methods



One written midterm exam and one written final exam are scheduled at the semester.

30% of the midterm and 70% of the final must be equal or greater than 60.

Aims and Objectives of the Course



The aim of this course is to provide the students a firm foundation in agricultural

manufacturing sectors, concepts and practical works. The students learn all of the knowledge

about machinery manufacturing sectors.

 Principles and classifications of processes in manufacturing

 Advantages, limitations and comparisons material processing

 Relation with design and manufacturing

 Selection of a process

 Casting, welding, forming, machining and powder metallurgy

 Application of samples

and different design methods about machinery design. Besides the students learn how to make

design and used modern method like a AutoCAD ans SolidWorks.

 General methods for finding and evaluating solutions

 Product planning and clarifying the task

which is usable in agricultural applications. 30% of the midterm and 70% of the final must be

equal or greater than 60. It is compulsory to complete sample of design for entrance final

exam.
