edit: FRIDAY 13th (hehehe so lame) are we making a comic book, a book, or a scrapbook? (the

first two are completely computer generated)



so we are gonna make a comic book/photo album for ms petrulis XD the stuff in italics isnt

included in the actual book. it is not actually in chronological order, although we make it seem

like everything happened in two weeks - the dates of the pics will be cut off



story so far:



"you may remember us as the random students who made you act in the 'year 12 film' in 2005,

that miraculously (?) wasnt actually on it.. we apologise for that, and to compensate, here are

some compromising photos of ourselves. no, dont screw up your face like that!"

"we are 'david-the-guy-that-does-arts-and-sciences-that-everyone-thinks-does-economics', and

'zinah-the-girl-who-apparently-does-accounting-which-is-not-a-core-subject-for-economic-and-

social-sciences'" (is that too random? i just want them to know what courses we are doing, coz

theyre bound to wonder)



"here we are standing outside our psychology lecture. (why arent we in it, you ask? well thats not

part of the story!!!) one unexpected part of psyc that we studied was statistics... well then, lets

put it to some use!"

occur every +insert fake statistic here+ actually keep that part in it.. so, from our powers of

deduction, any week chosen randomly could be considered as typical of our uni lives"

yea i know that is ironic.. but thats the point isnt it?

"so we start our story on monday, 4th august - the day after fathers day. but at uni, no one asks

what they got for their dad, coz no one is close enough. instead, people drink their emotions out

at the bar"

"oh.. by the way, this is what we like to call a marshie. they are little balls of emotion that are

used to express.. well.. our emotions, when we cant find words for the situation - which, in

zinah's case, happens quite often."

"this is what we like to call a 'danze marshie', coz it kinda looks like the expression daniel zhang

likes making, to suggest that the other person is an idiot of some sort. this one over here..."

"doesnt really have a name, but is sometimes nicknamed 'the breakdancing marshie', because

when you turn it upside down, it spins for ages (according to a friend footnote this or something,

saying that a friend may not have really said that)."



"ok, so what happened to the story? nothing i tells you! we are just communicating in a

specialised language only comprehended by highly intelligent life forms (or should we say that

"this is nyan, our school captain (he always will be in our minds), although that picture doesnt

quite show the essence of his character. you see, at that moment, he was lunching, when all of a

sudden, this camera floats out of the bar at full speed and flashes this bright light! he knew that

was going to happen, so put on some sunnies - only an advanced biomedical engineer would do

that"

we should try to concentrate on ppls who went to cumbo, and try to make them appear in the

story over and over again, so that they can give ms petrulis a message - that we incorporate

nicely into the story.. oh and im trying to put in everyones degrees as well, in case they forgot

ok so that my book does not clog up with non-nurdy material, here are the ideas that we come up

with randomly.. patent pending!!!



these things written here are just ideas.. not ALL of them are necessarily going to be in the film



story ideas: (coz dammit, that anime really stole our ideas!)



 mr tangs emphasis

 inside metro culture (i dont even remember what this means)

 'this service has been disabled because you have insufficient funds' (what was the

'service' again?)

 talking to each other through text message in lectures

 choking at the thought of actuarial studies

 ninjas in haymarket (meeeeeeeeeeeeee)

 'cant filter out spam? try anti-zinah! only $29.95 at co-op bookstores!'

 the comic we made in econ / stalker protecting my baby~~

 'this is zinah. shes a spammer, so we cant show you her face, but we can show you.. her

online rants..'

 usyd person: 'wait.. what does uts stand for again?

 'if only there was something to protect my face from the sun' +imagines overhanging

circle thingy thats gives shade+ +boy with cap walks by+ 'I know! a hat!!!!'

 zinah drinks tea.. then drinks coke.. one hour later, she cant work out why she cant fall

asleep. the next morning she wakes up to the sounds of her alarm clock. "omg!! coz of

the caffeine! idiot!"

 the random macho guy david saw once on the train listening to the veronicas blasting

through his headphones~~ headbanging would be funnee XD

 um i forgot what i was meant to write here



structure ideas:

 have three 'mini movies', 5 mins long, that we can stick together to make one 15 min

movie. in between them all, we have ads. then we can put in bloopers, and alternate

endings. the three movies will consist of: one introductory/normal movie, random movie,

sequel to the first movie

 the third movie will be a 'prequel': it shows the different stories of each person, which do

not link to each other, other than the fact that the transitions of the story exist in how the

people literally walk past each other (at the 'cross roads' of usyd lol).. at the end of that

one, it is suggested how these people meet each other, but thats it..

- someone waiting for the train vs. someone getting on the train vs. someone getting off

the train

- pretty much someone leaving vs. someone going somewhere

- it starts off with the main character getting out of bed, quickly going to the station, on

the train etc, with him/her narrating: "if you were to learn only one thing in your life, it

would be that no one really cares about you as much as you think they do. it is what we

like to call 'independence'. all this so called 'interaction' amongst groups and whatnot, is a

mere illusion to make ourselves appear more important in the hope that this really isnt

true. you could walk with the crowd; in the opposite direction; or not at all - no one will

ever notice because you are only one person - no different from everyone else" then

he/she sits down in his/her lect/tute, then the camera slowly moves to the door, where you

see the next character walk past, and go somewhere else.. then the stories really begin..

the main character's story (the person who said the emo crap) would have their story last..

the ending of this section would also be that you see them all in the same class at the end

of the day. but you dont see them talking to each other or anything.. it just ends like that..

ok so like whats with the emo beginning? it contradicts the fact that these characters are

friends (that you know from the beginning two sections) and makes you wonder how they

got to know each other / what happened (coz you think it is in chronological order)

 the first movie is the 'sequel' or whatever.. and you dont find out how they meet each

other. by that time, they already are friends and stuff..

 choose your own story? ('would you like david to be stalked by psyc guy or red eyes?')

 OR MAYBE we should make a mini series - each episode is 5 mins each.. and so it

would be easier to think of a story for the movie



technical ideas:



 can use my photo camera to film 45 mins of crap each time.. but gotta upload it every

time.. which means 45 mins of filming a day lol

 we really need to buy ourselves a tripod.. but diff tripods for diff cameras dammit > <

- what can you buy for $1.30 (donanananana)? answer: a small tub thingy of yoghurt and nothing

- donna going to the newsagencies to buy a 'very sturdy bag' which only cost her 20c with her

access card
