Dear Parent/Guardian,
I am writing to inform you about an exciting opportunity to participate in the
Langley School ski trip in 2012. We are proposing to travel with ABTA registered
ski specialists Equity Ski for a seven night visit to the French Alps in February half
term, in the resort of Serre Chevalier.
The school ski trip has just returned from this resort and had a very successful
and thoroughly enjoyable trip with fantastic and varied runs with all facilities
being accessible from the hotel.
The visit will include flights by a scheduled airline into Grenoble airport (flight
times and dates to be confirmed), and all coach transfers from Stansted/Gatwick
airport to our accommodation in Villeneuve. All transfers are included when in
the resort itself, as are 7 nights full board accommodation in the hotel Club Grand
Aigle.
Also incorporated into the cost are a 6 days ski pass, 6 days hire of quality skis,
boots and poles, 6x5 hour ski lessons and the full services of an Equity Ski
representative. Snow boarding is also available and the runs are excellent and
suitable for all ranges of ability, however you must have completed your
beginners and intermediate course on a dry slope in order for the school to take
snowboarders.
The trip will also incorporate a variety of après-ski activities. These will range
from swimming, evening skiing, and a trip into local town. The other nights will
be centred around the hotel where everyone can relax, watch videos, order pizza
and just generally chill out after a hard day on the slopes.
The final price of the visit cannot be confirmed at this early stage, although we
have provisionally reserved spaces for only 20 students and 4 staff at a price of
£1500 per person (approximately).
This resort is ideal for school groups that want doorstep skiing.
