Job Details:   General Position Summary: The Senior Instructional Designer, an Enterprise-level
               position, is responsible for leading the overall EPIC training program instructional
               design, development, and evaluation for blended learning solutions incorporating
               web-based training, e-learning, and instructor-led training, This individual will
               serve as the project and design leader for the creation of competency-based
               learning that integrates the appropriate suite of EPIC applications with user
               workflow continuums. The Senior Instructional Designer works collaboratively
               with other members of the training team to develop the overall EPIC training
               program. This individual is certified in selected Epic applications and is
               responsible for: 1. Collaborating with other members of the training team to
               design the overall training program, with appropriate application of e-learning and
               blended learning programs, web-based training, and asynchronous learning
               content 2. Establishing working relationships with analysts, management, subject
               matter experts, other training staff, and end users 3. Identifying and advocating for
               innovative learning solutions that meet user-needs (instructor-led, synchronous
               online, on demand web-based training, and blended learning. 4. Understanding
               and interpreting clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology
               in order to translate information into educationally sound training content 5.
               Interfacing with principal trainers and e-learning developers to design and test e-
               learning and blended learning 6. Incorporating current technology for educators
               developing specific curricula 7. Reviewing program evaluations, test results, and
               participant and manager feedback on training effectiveness to make
               recommendations for program improvement

               • Leads the creation of a highly integrated and coordinated training strategy across software
               applications and develops the project plan for the overall training strategy • Translates business
               requirements and skill building objectives into high impact learning designs that build user
               capability and improve performance • Establishes design standards for instructional products •
               Develops training products that are current with the literature on general learning and training
               theories and educational practice in health care clinical and business professions • Implements
               overall training curriculum • Continually evaluates the effectiveness of training

               Education: Baccalaureate degree in instructional design or education. Professional certification(s)
               and/or related experience beyond minimum instructional design experience qualifications may
               substitute for formal education requirement on a two years experience-for-one year education

               Experience: Five years experience training content development and delivery experience for
               classroom, e-learning, and blended training programs; web-based training; and asynchronous
               learning content in a health care environment or a pharmaceutical, or biotech industry

               Certifications: Required to complete and pass certification in assigned EPIC application module(s)
               within 120 days of employment in this role.

               Preferred Job Qualifications: • Certifications in eLearning, Distance Learning, or Web-based
                Training highly preferred • Experience in instructional design or education in the healthcare
                industry preferred. • Knowledge of the current healthcare environment preferred • End user
                training experience in EPIC or other clinical/business operations information system preferred
