Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling made a visit to Culpeper’s Germanna’s
Daniel Technology Center on Friday November, 19th. He addressed
regional business and governmental leaders at the invitation of the
Culpeper, Orange, Madison, and Fauquier Chambers of Commerce. His
comments were focused on the economic development initiatives at the
state level as the “Official Jobs Creation Officer” for Governor McDonnell.
“If we work hard, do the right things, and do them wisely then we can
move our economy forward” said Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling several
times during the luncheon. He also shared the following statistics,
confirming the comment with figures to date since beginning of McDonnell
Administration: 1) 209 - Projects Announced 2) 13,217 – Jobs Created 3)
$2.2B – Capital Investment in the State of Virginia. The visit was important
and the timing is very good for Culpeper. We have a great story to tell and
having the Lieutenant Governor here to talk with our business community
was an excellent opportunity.
