Tips for Eating Healthy
1. Eat for Energy
Eat regular and consistent meals and snacks day in and day out instead of
falling into the mind trap of thinking, I need to lose weight and lose it fast, so
I’ll just starve myself . Bad idea. What you want is healthy food fuel for your
body throughout the day via meals and snacks. Eating like this helps keep your
energy and mood up, your metabolism humming, and your appetite at bay—all
of which help you to stick to your weight loss program for the long haul.
2. Finding “Just Right”
Always eat an appropriate amount of daily calories for your height, weight,
age, and exercise level. That means neither too few nor too many calories,
but the “just right” amount that allows for a slow, steady weight loss week
to week. The Biggest Loser Club experts can help you determine your daily Thursday, August 26, 2010
calorie goal that is “just right” for you.
3. Surround Yourself with Support
Find the support you need—friends, family, health care providers, coaches, NJ A
groups, and Biggest Loser Club—to be positive forces for you along your jour-
ney of creating a long-term healthy diet and lifestyle that works for you. Take
time early on to determine who can and will be on your team and then count on
them to do so. And lean on them when you need encouragement.

Paul Somers………………………………….….….. Violin Concerto (world premiere) Jorge Avila, violin
INTERMISSION
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart……………………..Symphony No. 40, K. 550, in G Minor
Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 is recognizable as perhaps this luminous composer’s most tragic instrumental work.
Filled with yearning, it is also one of his most popular. Its human expressions are so perfectly shaped and balanced,
yet so modern in sentiment. In contrast, 20th and 21st century pieces are pure radiance. Paul Somers wrote his clas-
sically-scored concerto for our soloist, brilliant violinist Jorge Avila, emphasizing his lyrical gifts. The work con-
cludes with a joyous jig. Henry Cowell’s Hymn and Fuguing Tune No. 10 is gently contrapuntal, gracious work that
shows this varied American composer’s deep connection to religious expression and sublime melody.
For our patrons with special needs, the Stockton Performing Arts Center offers wheelchair accessible seating, large type programs, and listening assistive devices. Please identify
any needs you may have when making a reservation.
The Stockton Performing Arts Center, the Jersey Shore’s Center for the Arts, is located on the campus of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, on Jim Leeds Road in
Pomona (Galloway Township). Just 12 miles west of Atlantic City, the Center is easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway and the Atlantic City Expressway.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and
by funds from the National Endowment for the Arts.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS – WIE ROBOT CHALLENGE
The Women in Engineering, Southern New Jersey Chapter, is sponsoring its 2nd annual Robot Challenge for New Jersey high school students
April 16th at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum at Cape May airport in Rio Grande.
Students will build a robot that will “walk” six feet along a path with minor obstacles in a timed heat. Students also will deliver a written report
before the Challenge and present an oral report to the judges. The following high schools are participating: Neptune, High Tech, Asbury Park,
Atlantic Christian, Absegami, Cedar Creek, Pilgrim Academy and Oakcrest
Volunteers are needed as: track and oral presentation judges, pit crew, registration and other positions. Can’t make it on April 16th?
We need judges to evaluate the written reports prior to the competition.
Contact Theresa Basquez to participate in this extraordinary event. Email – tlb.ieee@yahoo.com. Phone - 609-485-7410.
