I’m looking for a free antivirus software for Windows XP and every one that I’ve

found so far has not worked. I have a virus and nothing seems to remove it… any

recommendations?

Hello Jessica,

If your system is running very slow or giving random problems, there are several

chances that its may be infected with any virus. Download HijackThis from the

link below and scan your system with it. It’ll generate a log file, copy the content

of the log file and Reply me via comment.

Download Hijackthis from here==> http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-

US/_download/HJTInstall.exe

I am waiting your our reply with the Log File.

I tried this and everything was fine , until I killed the Lsass.exe process. The

system rebooted and now after the initial windows (XP Home) startup screen, I

get a blank. Basically it hangs up.

I tried booting in safe mode and safe mode command prompt but it shows a

rdisk(0)disk(0)partition(2) system32/ , What does this mean. Did the virus mess

up my boot sector?

any suggestions?

Thanks,

Yes, it have Infected your Boot Sector! Just tell me in your system is there Multi

OS installed? If yes then you can get rid of that bug.

If your PC have Any other OS Installed the Boot to that OS, Now Open the Drive

where your XP Installed.

Now Create New File i.e Book.BAK by using Notepad

and paste this content in it:

[boot loader]

timeout=3

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

[operating systems]

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”Microsoft Windows XP Home

Edition” /FASTDETECT /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN
