Onanì (Sardinian: Onanìe) is a comune (municipality) in
the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, lo-
cated about 140 km north of Cagliari and about 20 km
northeast of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a pop-
ulation of 448 and an area of 71.7 km².[1]
The municipality of Onanì contains the frazione (sub-
division) Mamone (penal colony).
Onanì borders the following municipalities: Bitti,
Lodè, Lula.
