VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED!!
We are the Friendship Garden. Steeped in
tradition, we continue to build and share
knowledge about the Elizabethan Renaissance –
focusing on providing our members an environment that immerses them in the close community
environment that existed in small towns of the era. Everyone is welcome – whether a long time
veteran of Faire or new; whether actively involved or just looking for a place to rest. We hope to
provide the gateway to enhancing your experience at the Northern California Renaissance Faire.
Starting September 17th, we will be hosting our members and their guests in our Garden at the
edge of the village – serving you and providing a welcome environment. Over five weekends,
join us as we meet with Guilds, travelers, and even Royalty (God and Queen willing…). Join us
as we search the streets of the Faire looking for that one treasure (or many!) in the myriad of
market vendors, as we gaze upon their wondrous wares. Join us as we greet visitors to the
village. Join us as we feed and serve our members. Join us as we discuss Shakespeare and
Marlowe and gossip over the goings on in the Queen’s Court.
Northern California Friends of Faire is a membership organization dedicated to supporting and
advocating historical re-enactments of the Renaissance period throughout Northern California,
focusing mainly on the annual Northern California Renaissance Faire produced by Play Faire
Productions. Each year we provide volunteer services for the Northern California Renaissance
Faire, and a wonderful Garden where we offer a meeting place for our members and their
guests. We look forward to continued growth so we can bestow upon you more products and
services around the history of Elizabethan England – all of which will help us continue to
improve the member experience you all enjoy.
We look forward to seeing you soon – 450 years in the past!
