Sales Presentation
For this assignment you will work with your partner on presenting one of the many closing
techniques used in sales. Following your presentation you will be role playing a scenario in
which you use that closing technique. The following is the description of the assignment and
what we (myself and the class) will be looking for:
Select a closing technique from the link on my website called “closing techniques.”
Only one group can use it so see my once you choose to see if it is still available.
Create a minimum of three slide power point on which techinique you choose and
how it works. Your powerpoint must introduce closing technique, explain how it
works, and give an example of a situation in which it can be used. You may use
additional websites to research given technique if you would like.
Create a role playing sales situation where one partner is the buyer and one is the
seller. Take us through the entire sale (greeting, product introduction and
information, questioning, and finally the closing technique). You may use any existing
product or something you want to make up.
Class will share with role playing group whether or not the closing technique was clearly
exemplified and if they think it could work or what improvements could be made.
You will be assesed on how clearly your powerpoint explains to the class and teacher the
closing technique you chose. There should be clear understanding of what it means and how
it can be implemented in a sales scenario.
Your role play will be graded on how clearly and convincing your sales pitch is and how
geniunely you incorporate your closing technique into the pitch (in other words, your role
play should not seem like a sales pitch. It should seem sincere). Also, how well does the
closing technique work in the given scenario. Does it fit the situation?
