Generic Propecia hair loss treatment pills
Introduction to Gropecia a generic propecia (finasteride) hair loss pill, that is currently used as
treatment for male pattern baldness.
Online PR News – 13-September-2010 Male pattern baldness (MPB) is common in 66% of men according
–
to medical studies in the United Kingdom. Approximately 25 percent of men begin balding by age 20 and
nearly two-thirds of men begin balding by the age of 50. There is also a 4 in 7 chance of getting the
baldness gene hereditary.
Due to this ‘infliction’ more and more men are seeking new ways to combat this genetic onslaught, be it the
state of the art medical procedures or prescription based medication costing a fraction of that price.
Propecia is an approved medication for the treatment of male pattern hair loss. It is a prescription treatment
for hair loss and has been found to work over the long term. Propecia hair loss treatment has the active
ingredient finasteride , a synthetic anti-androgen which acts by inhibiting the enzyme that converts normal
testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) – the causing factor of baldness. In 1997, the FDA approved
finasteride to treat male pattern baldness under the brand name Propecia.
During a five year study consisting of males suffering from male to moderate hair loss, 2 out of 3 of the
males who took Propecia (1mg Finasteride) regrew hair on a daily basis, as measured by hair counts. In
contrast to this, all the males that participate in this study who did NOT take finasteride lost hair. In the same
study 48% of those treated with propecia experienced visible regrowth of hair and a further 42% had no
further loss. The average hair count of the participants in the treatment group remained above baseline and
showed an increasing difference in hair count from those in the placebo group – for ALL five years of the
study.
Propecia hair loss pills are only available on prescription and this poses many problems for consumers - as
well as it being too costly, and the time it takes to be actually prescribed the medication by the doctors
themselves (they have a procedure and this could take months if not longer) there is the whole male ego
issue – where no male wants to admit they are going bald let alone go tell a doctor about it.
This is where their saviour the World Wide Web steps in, although one cannot purchase Propecia directly
from the internet it is most commonly available as generic propecia (in the form of Gropecia hair lost
treatment) this is a prescription free medication for those who wish to keep their hair loss treatment discreet
and also keep the treatment costs within affordable.
