Coin Toss!
Your task is to find out what is the most common
number of heads when you flip a coin ten times.
Variable: # of Heads
Instructions:
(1) Each person in the group should take a coin
and flip it ten times, recording in your
notebook how many times it lands heads
(2) Repeat step (1) and record again
(3) In your notebook:
a. Record what each person got for the number
of heads in both trials
b. Make a histogram showing how many times
each number of heads was counted
c. What does your histogram look like?
d. Do you think the coin is fair? (50-50)
e. Why? Why not?
