Cape Fear Carcharodon Megalodon Shark Tooth Dive. ECD LLC participants tried various modes of
transportation to get to Wilmington North Carolina on the weekend of July 24-25, 2010. I specifically
had a unique opportunity to ride as a passenger with Gary Capkovic (ECD LLC Instructor). Gary is a pilot.
The flight in both directions went well. My only experience so close to the airline controls was using
Microsoft flight simulator in my past. It was fun seeing how flying worked in reality versus simulation.
No TSA was involved, you loaded your luggage directly from your vehicle parked next to the airplane,
easy to take off and land and most of all not waste an entire day at a commercial airport traveling or
driving long distances.
ECD LLC had only 1 day to perform Carcharodon Megalodon Shark Tooth diving because the weather
the next day prohibited a safe ride to the site. The depths involved were approximately 99 feet and
everyone was using Nitrox. The boat ride was 3 hours each way. It was worth the effort especially if
you never had an opportunity to acquire your own Carcharodon Megalodon Shark Tooth. Most ECD LLC
participants were able to acquire at least 1 fair to good example of a prehistoric shark tooth. As an
example of the size difference for these bigger teeth, see the picture below:

Some participants found other fossils such as ear bones and whale bones beside the Carcharodon
Megalodon Shark Tooth.
Some of the pictures taken involve the following below. Others will be added as they come in.
