Dress Code/ Uniform for PHYSICAL EDUCATION Classes
2009-2010
2008-2009 the P.E. Dept. re-established a uniform or dress code for phys ed class. The
students did a great job complying with the dress code. This coming school year (2009-
10) we will continue to improve our expectations to create an even more unified gym
uniform. Following are the guide lines for the physical education uniform expectations:
1. All new 7th grade students are required to purchase a Bishop Ludden t-shirt
and Bishop Ludden shorts with the Ludden logo and shamrock (available in
the Alumni Office). Order forms will be available at the 7th grade orientation
nights, in the summer back-to-school newsletter AND at this link. Students
may also purchase Bishop Ludden sweat shirts and warm-up pants if desired.
Both are acceptable as an addition (not in place of) the gym shorts and t-shirts.
Orders requested after 7th grade meeting nights will be made through the
alumni office.
2. All students, grades 8-12 are required to wear SOLID black or forest green
shorts and Bishop Ludden t-shirts. The shorts must have a 5” inseam or
longer. No stripes are allowed on the shorts. No “short” shorts are allowed
for the girls. The Bishop Ludden t-shirts will be limited to three choices that
students have been made aware of at the end of this school year. An order
form will be available. All orders will be made through the alumni office.
3. Students are allowed to wear warm-up pants and sweat shirts. This year,
stripes are allowed on the pants. The sweat shirts may not display any
inappropriate logo or designs. It is recommended that the students purchase a
Bishop Ludden sweat shirt and sweat pants as this will be required in future
years. These will also be listed on the order form that will be available to all
students through the alumni office only.
