Gratitude Banner
Supplies needed:
12 x 12 printed cardstock for every 2 pockets
Solid Cardstock for tags
Clothes pins
Buttons
Ribbon
Tape Runner
Scissors
Scor-pal or paper trimmer with score blade
Instructions:
Pockets:
1. cut a 12 x 12 piece of printed cardstock into 2 pieces of 8.5 x 5.5
2. Score along the long side at 2.5 “ and 6
3. Use a large circle punch to cut out the top in the middle section or cut a triangle or
square opening if you don’t have a punch.
4. Use a bone folder and crease the pocket on the fold lines.
5. Run tape along the right and bottom of the pocket.
6. Fold the left edge over and then the right
7. Decorate the front of each pocket with the left over paper, stickers, die cuts, ribbon,
embellishments and tags.
Tags:
1. Cut the solid paper into 3.5 x 5 pieces to make as many tags as you would like.
2. Decorate the tags with strips of paper, circles, tags etc.
Clothes pins:
1. Cut thin strips of paper to cover the front of each clothes pin. Don’t forget to do an
extra one for the tags.
2. Decorate a few of them with ribbon, buttons and other embellishments
Finish:
1. Cut a length of ribbon to hang your pockets. (I did 5 feet)
2. Tie a loop in each end.
3. Hang the ribbon either vertical or horizontal
4. Attach the pockets and the tags with the clothes pins
*When it is time to take the banner down, turn it into a mini album by simply removing the
clothes pins and punching a hole in each pocket. Date it and put the pockets on a book ring.
You can even add photos if you would like. Your Gratitude Banner will become a Gratitude
Album to cherish for many years to come.
