                            President’s Message

December 7, 2006

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE NBBA:

As the newly-elected President, I want to thank you for giving me the
opportunity to serve this organization. We have many obstacles to
hurdle, and I hope you will be patient with us while we attempt to resolve
them.

My first priority is to keep you, our members, updated on what is going on
in the organization. I plan to send you communications on the challenges
we will be attempting to resolve throughout the year. Sending you these
communications is very important, because you, our members, need to
be in the loop on what we will be doing to make this organization run
more efficiently.

The Denver Group has a great deal for everyone ordering a bulk supply
of beep baseballs. All beep baseball orders above ten (10) are priced at
$31. The beep baseballs will be shipped via “Free Matter”, unless a
different shipping vendor is desired, in which you will be responsible for
the cost. To place an order, you will need to send an Email to Bob Kurtz
of the Denver Group at the following address. The Email address is:
 beepball@nbba.org

Please include the number of beep baseballs you will need, your mailing
address and how you would like the order shipped, i.e. Free Matter or
through a different vendor. Checks and/or money orders will only be
accepted. Credit card orders will not be accepted; only through the
Qwest Store on the internet. The Qwest Pioneers are putting together a
policy for Purchase Orders, so please refer to the NBBA web site for up

to date information. Once the Email is sent to the Denver Group, a reply
will be sent with the total amount due, including tax and insurance.
Please be aware that all orders will be required to purchase insurance for
the shipping of the beep baseballs. The Denver Group will not be
responsible for the lost shipment of the order, thus, purchasing insurance
is very important. The Denver Group will take full responsibility for the
ball itself, i.e. broken ball. Checks or money orders should be made
payable to Qwest Telecom Pioneers.
Please send all payments to:

If there are too many orders at one time, there will be a slight delay in
delivery. Once orders are received, can you please send them a note of
thanks. They would very much appreciate hearing from you.

Thank you for taking time to read this correspondence. I look forward to
hearing from you either by Email or telephone.

Beep Baseballs: Jon Walker, Ron Watson of the Equipment
Committee along with Janet Leonard and Bill Maroney visited the
Denver beep ball manufacturing center. The group has
approximately 1,500 pre-made circuit boards to make beep

scale of the beep baseballs used during that particular game.

Bases: The outside covering for the bases have been changed by
the Arnold Center from gortex back to vinyl, due to water seeping
into the foam and damaging it.

The bases have increased in cost! Due to the cost of petroleum, the
foam has drastically skyrocketed. Due to this, the price for a set of
        bases with electronics is $530.

 BALLS:

Beep baseballs are currently manufactured in Denver, Colorado by
the Telecom Pioneers. Roy Trujillo has retired from production. As a
result, there was a gap in production at the beginning of the year. As
of the NBBA spring board meeting (3/3/06), the Pioneers are in the
process of filling backorders and hope to have balls available for team
orders by the middle of April. The price of the ball will be increased to
$35/ball due to an increase in price of the supplies used to make the
 balls.

For more information regarding the ordering of beep balls please send
 email to:
