Description
Latino Leadership Institute
The Latino Leadership Institute (LLI) is an 8-week leadership program aimed to develop leadership and community skills for
freshmen and sophomore students. LLI consists of workshops, visitation programs, volunteer opportunities, a retreat, and a free
entrance to the Latino Leadership Summit. The program focuses on leadership development, social/political justice training and vast
networking opportunities. Mentors are also provided. Past participants have graduated from the program and have become successful
campus leaders for communities in need. Requirements: First or second year undergraduate student. Attend programmed
workshops, programs, and events.
Latino Leadership Council Internship
The purpose of this internship is to expose students to leadership, mentorship, and networking opportunities within and
outside the Latino community. The intern will work closely with the Latino Leadership Council (LLC) Internal Team and the Latino
community to plan major community events and learn the inner workings of the organization. Requirements: First, second or third
year undergraduate student. Attend all LLC’s internal meetings, bi-weekly community meetings, and other LLC’s functions and
events. Note: This is a non-paid internship.

Final Qualifications
Must be a full-time student at the University of Texas at Austin for the 2011-12 academic-year.
Must submit a typed one-page resume.
Must submit a work schedule (if applicable).
-LLI applicants will be notified of the selections by Mid-September.
-If application for LLC Internship is selected for further consideration, applicant will be invited to participate in the interview
portion of the selection process. After the interview process, all applicants will be notified of the selections by Mid-October.
