Support
- The fifth link takes you to our “Support” area.
- This takes you to the most frequently asked questions about PMTO:
Q: Why should we use hard drive camcorders instead of DVD based camcorders?
A: DVD camcorders are much harder to use than memory card or hard drive based camcorders.
Here are some of the common problems we experience: 1) DVD read problems if the disc is not
finalized, 2) unplayable DVDs due to scratches or fingerprints, and 3) damaged DVDs. Digital
video files such as one from hard drive or memory cards eliminate all of these problems. Plus by
using these instead of DVDs you will get access to our new Video Uploader which works much
better than the old one!
Q. What browser do I need?
A: Firefox 4 or the latest version of Google Chrome.
Q: How do I upload a session from a hard drive based camcorder?
A: See this video - https://www.mi-pmto.net/video.php?id=HardDriveTutorial.flv
Q: How do I upload a session from a mini DVD?
A: See this video - https://www.mi-pmto.net/video.php?id=DVDTutorial.flv
Q: How do I upload more than one video at a time?
A: See this video - https://www.mi-pmto.net/video.php?id=BatchTutorial.flv
PMTO PORTAL MANUAL Page 8
Q: What are the system requirements for the uploader?
A: You will need either Windows XP or Vista, 1.5Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, a broadband
connection, a DVD or video camera, and at least 100MB of free hard drive space (note: this
space is only needed for processing videos -- once the video is uploaded you will get the space
back).
Q: What type of internet connection do I need?
A: You will need a high speed broadband Internet connection with preferably a high upload
speed. The videos you will be uploading are about 0.5MB per minute of video. Therefore an
hour video will be about 30MB to upload. That will take anywhere from 30 - 180 minutes
depending on your connection speed.
Q: Why do I get an error when installing the Uploader Program?
A: You need to download the free Microsoft .NET 2.0 program.
Q: System Requirements for IT Staff
A: The PMTO Portal has the following system requirements:
* Firefox (3.0 or later). Internet Explorer 6 is NOT supported.
* Windows XP or Windows Vista. The video uploader is not compatible with Mac OSX
although the Portal is available with Safari.
* Administrator privileges on the PC to install software.
* A non-thin client PC with a 1.5Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, and 10GB of free hard drive
space.
* The latest version of Adobe Flash (*required* to view videos)
* Broadband (512Kbps download and 128Kbps upload) is *required* to view and upload
videos.
* Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 or later
* Port 1935 to view the streaming video.
Q: The Date/Time selector does not popup when I click the calendar icon next a date field.
A: It is most likely being blocked by a popup blocker. Please disable it to continue using the
portal.
Q: The video does not popup when I click the watch video button
A: It is most likely being blocked by a popup blocker. Please disable it to continue using the
portal.
Q: What is Flash and why do I need it?
A: The free Flash Player is required to watch the videos and for any training sessions. You can
also check to see your Flash version. Make sure you are using the latest version by comparing
the number on the test page to the number on the download page.
PMTO PORTAL MANUAL Page 9
Q: What is JavaScript and why do I need it?
A: JavaScript is required for the portal, and it is used for confirmation and popup boxes. Here is
how you can enable it: In Firefox go to Tools -> Options -> Content tab -> and make sure that
"Enable JavaScript" is checked. In Microsoft Internet Explorer go to Tools -> Internet Options ->
Security tab -> click Custom Level button -> and scroll down to the Scripting section and set
"Active scripting" to Enable.
Q: Why do bullets and numbers disappear when I paste feedback from Word?
A: If you are pasting feedback from Microsoft Word, please click on the "Paste from Word"
button on the toolbar, follow the directions, and click "Remove Styles definitions" if you see
that option. Microsoft Word adds extra formatting which is incompatible with the feedback
editor.
Q: Why is the text so small when I print the page?
A: If you are using Internet Explorer, then it automatically shrinks the page when you print.
Click the arrow next to the Print button and select Print Preview -> and change "Shrink To Fit"
to 100% instead.
- If you are having problems with the portal, click the link at the top of the
support screen that states: Ask our Support Team!
- This will take you to the support form, which you can fill out to request for
assistance on the PMTO portal and website.
- Please be sure to include the error message that you received, including
when you got it and what you were doing when you received it. For
example, adding a family, uploading, etc.
- If you do not get a response within a few days, please call to ask what the
status is at 269/553-8110 - PMTO
- Please be sure to check up on your support ticket for any further questions
from the PMTO staff or to report if the problem has been solved. This is
crucial to us being able to close out the ticket and for having accurate
information on our portal issues.

parent and the other is for “other family member” such as a
relative living in the home, boyfriend, etc.
2) Make sure you have all the identifying information filled out,
such as therapist PMTO number, and make sure it is signed and

PMTO PORTAL MANUAL Page 25
Consent Highlights:
Please help our office serve our community’s youth, families, and YOU - our wonderful service providers,
by reading and following the instructions listed below.
Please make sure that all communications sent to our office have your region number, therapist ID, and
Family ID on them.
Before submitting a consent form to our office:
Check to be sure the consent form is filled out completely, including the date of signature.
If the consent is missing information, if we receive only a signature page, or if the signature
page is not dated, our office is unable to process the consent.
Make sure the Therapist’s Name and PMTO ID Number are listed clearly (Ronda Williams # 1111).
Check to be sure you’ve listed the family on the portal.
If the family isn’t on the portal, our office must destroy any consents submitted for that
family. (This is done to preserve confidentiality and ensure all procedures are in place.) You
will be required to send a new consent after the family is listed on the portal.
Check the Family Name (Family A, B, C, etc) to ensure it is the correct name.
If the family name appearing on the portal is different than the family’s actual name, please
indicate that. It is important our office correct those errors.
You may mail a consent to our office via the post office. When submitting your information, address
them to:
