Manufacturers Resource Center Presents:
Lean Six Sigma Overview
What is Lean Six Sigma?
Lean Six Sigma is the integration of two powerful process improvement methodologies.
Lean Enterprise focuses on the concept of continuous flow using tools such as Value Stream
Mapping, Kanban / Pull Systems, Set-up Reduction / Quick Changeover, & Kaizen Events.
Six Sigma uses the DMAIC process – Define, Measure, Improve & Control to solve
challenging business problems. The Six Sigma DMAIC method utilizes formal project
definition, data collection, and statistical analysis to select the right opportunity, implement
the most appropriate improvements, and sustain the improvements over the long term.
