Another “Jocelyn Mall” Record!
IT SEEMS THERE’S NO STOPPING Sally Hooke and the
residents of Jocelyn Township, when they’re on to a good
idea! Sally is the attendant at the Jocelyn Township Landfill
site and the ‘shopkeeper’ of the famous “Jocelyn Mall”, proof
positive that one person’s ‘junk’ can be another’s treasure!
Residents can donate items they no longer want or need to
Sally’s store, which is ‘sold’ to other residents at a nominal
price. All proceeds are then donated to our Food Bank, to
help them in helping others. The environment also benefits
from less garbage filling our landfill site. Then, to bring
things full circle, residents enjoy the benefit of lower taxes
due to lower processing costs!
Sally proudly reports that sales to date this year have resulted
in yet another record Food Bank contribution of $3,422.98,
The Fall Power up from last year’s contribution of $2,865.00 for the same
period. Fantastic!
Event Thank you Sally and Jocelyn residents! You keep making this
great idea ever better!
