B. Project Overview
Included are a brief description for each section along with an explanation of the contents of the
section and/or the rationale for including that section in the Project Charter.
I. Identification:
Project Name: Coleman Stewardship Services Website
Project Team: Group 2 – Ashley Cooper, Stephanie Locher, Matt Schultz,
Justin Turney
II. Project Background: Project was initiated through resources given by Professor Lo. We
determined that the Coleman Stewardship Services Website seemed interesting and decided to
use that for our semester long project. We contacted Ted by email to determine project scope.
III. Purpose / Business Need: The purpose of the Coleman Stewardship Services Website
project is to provide the organization with a new way to connect to prospective clients and
supporters. This project meets with Coleman Stewardship Services for a purpose to create a
website for Coleman Stewardship Services that will promote the business value of the company.
By creating this website anyone who uses the internet can now have easy access to the
organization and how they can get help from, or how they can help, the organization.
IV. Project Scope: The project deliverables shall include a well designed website to represent
Coleman Stewardship Services as well as to help the organization spread their organization’s
presence. There will also be training for the end users so that they may effectively maintain the
website upon completion.
The website will include the following pages:
About us
Join us
Calendar of Events
Contact us
Search
Donate
Our client has a Facebook page and a LinkedIn page, so we will add a ‘follow us’ app on the
website as well. We will train Ted on maintenance of the website for easy use, because he will
be the only one updating it. For simplicity, we will use html.

Visually appealing
Readable
VI. Sponsorship & Ownership: Final product ownership will go to Ted Huskins, who is also our
project sponsor. The stakeholders include the following: Ted Huskins, Coleman Stewardship
Services, Inc., and Stewardship consultants.
VII. Terminology:
Stewardship – the conducting, supervising, or managing of something; especially: the
careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care.
C. Project Approach Section
A brief description of the project approach should be included. Provide a high-level overview of
the project approach, project team structure, and project plan.
I. Project Deliverables and Quality Objectives: The final deliverable of this project is the
website. The website should contain all specified requirements outlined by Ted Huskins at
project initiation. Project milestones will be the formulation of the following documentation:
Project Charter: Due 9/16
Website URL: Due 9/23
Design Walkthrough Presentation: Due 10/12
Project Committal Report Presentation: Due 12/9
We will provide intermittent status reports to the client every two weeks.
II. Organization and Responsibilities: The project team and roles are as follows:
Ashley Cooper – Client Liaison
Stephanie Locher – Recorder/Timekeeper

III. Reporting, Oversight, & Review: To maintain our relationship with Ted Huskins, we will
communicate by email and Skype. We will provide status reports every other week. He will send
us design specifications and requests, and determine any changes we need to make. We need
to have Ted’s approval on any design and functional aspect of the website that he didn’t propose
initially.
IV. Dependencies: The project manager does not have direct control over the following:
Funding
Time
Distance from client
Lack of resources
