Description
This course is for people who wish to get an overview of what Lean Thinking refers to. It
will provide them with an introduction to some of the ways in which they could utilise
aspects of Lean thinking to help deliver improvements in their area of the University.
Main Description
Who should attend?
The workshop is for people who are new to Lean and interested in implementing
improvements in their area.
Event aims:
To provide an overview of Lean Thinking. Participants will hear about and discuss
concepts, terminology and examples from Lean Thinking and how it can be adopted within
Edinburgh Napier University.
Event objectives:
By the end of the workshop, you should be able to:
□ Understand the background to Lean Thinking
□ Understand the key principals and concepts of a Lean inspired approach to
Continuous Improvement
□ Develop awareness of the ways in which Lean Thinking can be practically
applied within Edinburgh Napier
□ Know where to go for advice and help
