In here you should provide background and expertise details of those involved in the management of the business. For example: The senior management team have ran successful, profitable businesses in the same sector/region over the last 20 years. What is the product/service? In here you should describe the product or service in simple terms and why you expect it be a success. For example: The unique solar powered desalination units are patented across the world and need no independent power source. What is the risk profile? In here you should detail how much risk is attached to the investment. For example: This is a government backed project to provide solar powered desalination units, so there is very little risk. How much do you want? In here you should detail how much investment you are looking for and how you would like it paid. For example: £10m, paid in two £5m instalments. How long do you want it? In here you should explain how long you would like the investor to keep their money in your business and why. For example: The £10m investment is needed for five years to achieve the ROI targets. How much do I get back? In here you should indicate the planned Return on Investment (ROI). For example: The £10m invested over 5 years will achieve an ROI of £40m. What is the exit strategy? In here you should detail how you plan for the investor to exit the business. For example: The senior management/shareholders of the business plan on floating the company on AIM in five years to raise the capital to buy out the investor. And investors are able to assess the opportunity and make an informed decision. Your main objective in this presentation is not to close the deal; it is to entice an investor into meeting you again and learning more about you and your opportunity.
