Why Musical Theatre and Arts?
At BCA, we’re so excited to we’re interested in
encouraging the student to develop as a whole
person. Creating a hands on dynamic experience
where the student gets to explore the different
aspects of Musical Theatre and the Arts.
Being a professional performer in musical theatre,
opera and jazz has provided me with experience to
draw upon to help these students reach their
performance potential. The performance element
allows students to develop skills in voice
production and projection, in drama, in dance and
team work all of which build confidence and
personal growth.
The students get the opportunity to create the sets,
build and design the stage, make costumes,
lighting, sound and stage managing.
There is something in this program for any student.
The Performances!
Each year we will be focusing two major musicals: one
at Christmas and one at the end of the year,
Last year the MTA students wrote and performed their
very first Christmas Musical called “Christmas Eve
in Waverly.” It was a huge success and was enjoyed
by everyone.
The goals of the program will include Creative
Writing, Journaling, experiences in dance and
theatre, lights, sets, action….you’ve got it all
here! We’ll be leading chapels, collective works,
and storytelling,
NEW!!!!!
We will be creating new teams such as A comedy show
team, a talent show team, a worship band, a stomp
rhythm band and an Improv team!!
These are things kids can only experience at the high
school level but because we are such a dynamic
school we get it right here at BCA!
Already kids are excited to bring in award winning
performers and musicians and dancers, teaching the
kids new skills and sharing their talents with us
at BCA.
MTA will be Bringing in professional artists,
musicians, technicians, all of which will enable
the kids to be inspired and love the experience of
MTA at BCA.
We look forward to having your kids participate in MTA
this year and have the time of their lives!
