EZ Email Archiver will install and operate on the following Operating
Systems:
Server 2003, Server 2008, XP Pro, (32bit ) 64Bit Coming Soon !
Prerequisites:
Install a copy of Outlook 2003 or 2007 on your EZ Email Server
Before Beginning Please Setup a Journal Account on your Exchange
Server or Your Web Based Mail System.
Follow these steps to enable Message Journaling for
Exchange 2000 – 2003:
1. In Exchange System Manager, click Servers.
2. Click Storage Group, right-click one of the mailbox stores listed,
and then click Properties.
3. On the General tab, click to select the Archive all messages sent or
received by mailboxes on this store check box, and then click
Browse to choose an account for the archived messages.

After this has been completed begin installation.

Type in your email server information in Fig 6
Server name (Example: mail.name.com) Port 143 or 993
Journal user name
Journal password
Test Server Connection
(Check “delete messages…” as seen in Fig 6, if you would like to remove
emails from journal)

Mailbox Query: Select the mail box query time default is 10 minutes, if
there are more than 500 mailboxes 30 minute intervals or longer is
recommended. This is the location where you would like to store the
exported PST files.
Limit Number: Amount of messages to load at a time is 500 by default, if
the amount of mailboxes exceeds 500 then this should be increased to
1500
Browse: Storage location of the PST files to be set
Click Next on Fig 7

Restart Server
After Restart: Double Click EZ Browser Icon on Desktop

Note:
You can always change the password under the administration
tab when the application starts.

Fig 10: To Search for Email Messages:
Click on Start and Finish Dates and type in Sender or Recipients
Name or Email Address, and then click Apply Filters.
Double click on specific email to view or click the check box on one
or a group of emails to export to a .pst file.
This PST file can be imported and viewed using Outlook. This would
be the option to use if Authorities need email information for a
specific reason.

In the Red Circle in Fig 10 You Can Do the Following:
Browse: to search and view emails
Administration: to add, edit or change permissions on users.(
Three levels available)
Check Service Status: To view is service is running and
status of mail account
Help: Redirects to website for help and information
Logout: Logs user out of system
EZ Application Settings: To view or edit mail server settings see

Press OK in Fig 13 to Update Changes.
If you have problems with the program logging into the Journal Account
try using Microsoft Mail to connect via MAPI to the mail box to be certain
the account is accessible.
