(Empty parking lot with a couple of police officers roaming the premises)
Police officer 1 :( Escorting Darren Faulk as well as officer 2) Darren as you
know you may not leave the state of California for 24 hours, you may not
gamble as well. Do You Understand?
(Officer 2 opens the gate for Darren)
Darren: Yes I understand (sarcastically) Blah, Blah, Blah same stuff as last
time.
Officer 2: Darren this is your last chance and if you screw up you don’t get
another chance this will be your third strike.
Darren: I know do not pass go do not collect two hundred dollars.
(The two officers shut the gate and Darren walks away)
(Pulls out his cell phone scrolls through contacts and selects the name
“Martin Scrowvach”)
(The phone rings twice and a lady answer)
Lady: Hello
Darren: Hello, is Martin Scrowvach there?
Lady: Yes just a second may I ask whose calling?
Darren: This is Darren Faulk
Lady: One moment
(Goes to inside house)
Lady: Martin, A Darren Faulk is on the phone.
Martin :( Walks away) I don’t want to talk

Lady: He is indisposed at the moment, say where do you know him from?
Darren: He’s an old friend from collage

Darren: Well it has been a while, I have been out of town for a long time and
I was moving back in

Darren: That would be great, when are you guys free?

work things out.

Darren: I have had some strange dreams lately

Darren: On Tuesday I went to sleep and dreamed about Francisco Vespucci,
Amerigo Vespucci’s brother, and on Wednesday I dreamed about the
murders committed by the Alley man
Dr.Blaise: Why do you think you are having those dreams?
Darren: I don’t know that’s why I came to you
Dr.Blaise: Well has any thing weird happened lately?
Darren: No nothing yet
Dr.Blaise: Well maybe their trying to tell you something? Have they said
anything to you?
Darren: They did say “You can save them” What do you think that means?
Dr.Blaise: I don’t know I am just a physiatrist that message is for you to
figure out
Darren: So how should I talk to them?
Dr.Blaise: God said that he will talk to who ever will listen, maybe you
should listen?

(Darren gets out of his bead, Goes to the bathroom and gets ready)

(Cut to Coffee shop with Darren sitting alone in a booth)

(Cuts to Michelle’s house, There is an answering machine with a splotch of
blood on the end)
Answering Machine: Hey this is Michelle’s house leave your message at the

Darren: Hey Michelle it’s me Darren I am at the coffee shop and its 8:45
where are you
(Camera zooms out of Answering machine and there is a corpse on the floor,
FBI agents are walking around the house)
FBI: (picks up the phone) Hello

FBI: This is FBI officer Julian Perez
Darren: Wheres Michelle?
FBI: (Pauses) she was found dead in her home earlier this morning
Darren: (Pauses and tears drip down his face) Do you Know who killed her?

(Darren lies down to sleep and closes his eyes and tries to go to sleep but he
keeps waking up)
(Clocks tick and the room starts to spin)
2:00am
Darren: (gets up and drives to a store) that should do the trick (Darren holds
a bottle of sleeping pills)
Shop clerk: Late night or early morning?
Darren: Neither, I just couldn’t get to sleep
Shop clerk: ohh, (hands Darren the bottle) $2.67
Darren: (Hands money) thank you
(Darren walks out and drives to his house)
Darren:*Sighs* (opens bottle and pours pills into his mouth)
(Darren lies down on his bead and closes his eyes)
(Clock ticks and time goes bye, Darren starts to sweat, and his pupils begin
to Dilate)
(Screen goes black, and Darren wakes up in a hospital, Doctors are talking to
each other and rushing Darren to the ER)
Doctor 1: We found him lying down in the middle of the street, police
investigators found a high dose bottle of sleeping pills on his bathroom floor
Doctor 2: So he OD
Doctor 1: Yeah if we don’t get him to intensive care fast he might die
(Screen goes black as Doctors hover above him)
(Screen goes back to a room with corny decorations Darren sits up)
Darren: Where am I?
(A doctor walks in through the door)
Doctor 3: Well Darren nice to see you up
Darren: doctor where am I what happened? Will I be alright?
Doctor 3: You overdosed on sleeping pills to an extreme level, what were
you trying to do?
Darren: I was trying to get to sleep; I just couldn’t get to sleep
Doctor 3: why do you think that is?
Darren: I am not sure, but don’t tell anybody but I have been having some
very weird dreams lately, my doctor said I should try to communicate with
these people
Doctor 3: Did you try?
Darren: Yes but, I couldn’t get to sleep that’s why I bought those sleeping
pills
Doctor 3: Had you consumed any high caffeinated drinks or sugar?
Darren: no I am not sensitive to caffeine at all
Doctor 3: Hmm… open you eyes wide for me.
(Grabs a flashlight and points light into Darren’s eye, his pupils are huge and
stay the same size as he moves the light back and forth)
Doctor 3: well it appears to me that you have insomnia…
Darren: is there a way for me to sleep?
Doctor 3: (Thinks for a couple of seconds) No not that I know of, wait there
is one way, we might be able to force you to sleep
Darren: is it going to hurt?
Doctor 3: I am not sure, if I said no would be willing to try it?
Darren: Yes
Doctor 3: than it’s perfectly harmless
Darren: okay I will try it then
Doctor 3: alright wait here
Darren: (nods head)
(Doctor 3 walks out of the room for a brief moment, Darren stares at the
wall, and Doctor 3 walks in with a tank of anesthesia)
Doctor 3: alright put this over your face and close your eyes and start to
count
Darren: Alright (places mask over his face and closes his eyes)
1…2…3…4…5…6…7……….. (He falls asleep)

(There is a White room with Darren and Michelle in it)
Darren: (Runs over)Michelle
Michelle: (Michelle does nothing)
Darren: (gives her a hug) it’s me Darren (His Hands are covered with blood,
he backs away)
Michelle: (looks at him, she opens her mouth and screams, while she
screams she starts choking on blood, huge puddles of blood form around her
and the blood doesn’t stop flowing until the hole room is filled with blood)
Darren: (swims under and sees dead bodies floating around, Darren starts to
drown as Michelle swims up to him and gives him air)
(The blood starts to go down and Michelle and Darren are in an alley)
Michelle: Hurry we don’t have much time
(They keep walking into an endless alley)
Darren: Where are we going and what’s wrong with you, you seem so
different?
Michelle: I have a mission, which involves you in the future
Darren: What happened?
Michelle: Nothing yet
Darren: When?
Michelle: at exactly 1:00, if you don’t hurry it might not happen
Darren: What?
Michelle: you’ll see
Darren: what will happen if I don’t hurry?

(A Man walks up to a woman and grabs her, she struggles but she cant get
away)
Darren: (Starts to walk over to help the woman but Michelle holds him back)

(Gun shot is fired)
Alley Man: (Stands there for a couple of seconds, and then falls over)
(Strange man emerges from the shadows)
Woman (Cherry): Thank you, Thank You (Gives him as hug and starts to
cry)
Man: It’s alright (Hugs her and walks away)
Cherry: Darren, thank You, There must be something that I Cando to say

Man (Darren): Coffee would be great, tomorrow at 8:00

(Back to Darren and Michelle)
Darren: I took Down the Alley Man

book

Michelle: it is now (she grabs Darren’s hand and they fade away)
(They re-fade in a cave,)

Darren: I do but I don’t know what it was from
Michelle: well, look below you
(Darren looks down and backs away there is a dead man on the floor with an
arrow pierced through his heart)

Michelle: correct you are (Points to the corner) look
(There is a man holding an arrow that looks similar to Darren)
Darren: Is that me?
Michelle: No but, he is your relative Edward Faulk III
Darren: What does this mean?
Michelle: every first Male in the family had to or has to take on a serious
task, a task to become a Hero. Yours is to take down the Alley Man
Darren: What will happen if I don’t do it?
Michelle: as I said before more people will keep on dieing you have to stop
him, it is your fate. My time is up I must go (Angel wings and flies away)
(Screen zooms in to black and fades, fades in to Darren’s face with his eyes
closed, they quickly open

(Doctors push Darren out of the hospital in a wheelchair)
Darren: Thank you a lot Doctor
Doctor: you’re welcome
(Darren steps out of wheel chair and on to bus)
Darren: (sits quietly) Wait…. (Looks dumbfounded)
(Daren remembers his encounter with Michelle
(Long bus ride with Darren remembering his dream*)
(Darren gets off bus)
(Darren goes inside his house)
Darren: (sits down on couch)… Top cabinet 3rd shelf to the left
(Darren opens the cabinet and pulls out his phone book and opens it, there is
a fully loaded pistol in the phone book)

(At bar)
Darren: Whiskey
Bartender: (Walks over to the wall with alcohol on it pours a shot glass and
hands it to Darren) Here you go
Darren: thank you (Darren chugs it)
(Darren reaches in his back pocket to pay the bartender and feels his pistol)
Darren: (pulls out his wallet and pays the bartender)
(Darren walks out of the bar and enters a pawn shop, and sees cherry in it)
Darren: hi cherry
Cherry: hey Darren how’s it going?
Darren: good
Cherry: that’s great
Darren: Hove you been?
Cherry: fine
Darren: that’s good
(A man walks in with a clipboard)
Man: Scrovatch, Cherry you have a package out side for you
(Man walks out)
Cherry: one second…
(Cherry walks out the back door)
Darren: (looks at the clock) damn
(Cherry screams, and Darren runs out side)
Cherry: my package is finally here
Darren: oh you scared the shit out of me, what is it?
Cherry: it’s my new cash register
Darren: ohhh
(Darren’s face turns bright red and he can’t breathe he falls to the ground,
cherry panics and calls 911 and gives CPR to Darren)
(Ambulance arrives and takes him to the hospital)

(Hospital)
(Cherry is sitting alone in the waiting room; she sees the doctor and runs up
to him)
Cherry: is he going to be OK?
Doctor: yes he is going to be fine
Cherry: what’s wrong?
Doctor: there was a massive tumor in his head
Cherry: did you get it out?
Doctor: Yes, but the tumor killed part of his brain so before it was removed
he commonly had illusions, after the procedure he might have some
memory loss, but he should get it all back in a couple of days with the right
meds
(Cut to Room in hospital, cherry walks in and starts to talk to Darren)
Cherry: Hey how are you feeling?
Darren: better
Cherry: that’s good
Darren: Where’s Martin?
(A tear drips down her face, and she hesitates to tell him)
Cherry: Martin, died 2 years ago
Darren: oh I am sorry for bringing it up
Cherry: it’s alright you didn’t know
Darren: ……………………
Cherry: your doctor said you need to take 3 of these pills a day and you
should be up and running…well i'de better get going I don’t want to be late
for work
(Cherry walks out; Darren grabs the phone and dials)
Receptionist: Hello, this is Dr.Brent psychiatrics may I ask whose calling?
Darren: Hello my name is Darren Faulk I am calling to cancel my
appointment with Dr.Blaise
Receptionist: ummm Darren Faulk you are listed, but Dr.Blaise doesn’t
work here… The record book said that he worked here 24 years ago and had
to retire, he died a year after he quit
(Line goes dead and Darren drops the phone on the floor)
Receptionist: Darren……..Darren are you there?
(Darren pulls the IV tubes out of him and runs out of the room; he falls
down to the corner and starts to cry)

(Cherry walks into the room)
Cherry: Hey how are you doing?
Darren: I am not sure, so far everything in my life has been a lie, and I am
trying to figure out what is true and what is a lie

(Cherry takes Darren to her car and they get in)

(Darren lays his head back and tries to go to sleep)

Darren: *Sighs* (Darren opens the phone book and sees an empty pit; he
suddenly gets a flashback of the gun and Michelle, and what he has to do to
save Cherry)
(Darren lies down on his bed and thinks and looks at pictures from his past,
Darren soon gets up and slips his Pistol into his back pocket, he looks at the
clock and it is 12:49am)
Darren: (Drives away to Cherry Pawn shop; he enters a drive through coffee
place)
Worker: Hi welcome to Coffee express may I take your order?
Darren: I will have a Mocha Espresso and a Double Chocolate Chip Latte’
Worker: Small, Medium, or large?
Darren: Medium on both
Worker: That will be $5.67
(Darren hands worker the money and he hands him the coffee)
Worker: Thank you, come again
(Darren drives away and pulls up to Cherry’s Pawn Shop)
Scene 12
Darren: (Walks in) Hello, Cherry I brought you some Coffee
Cherry: oh thank you that was nice of you
Darren: Just a thank you for helping me out when I was in the hospital
(Darren hands Cherry the drink and has the empty cup holder)
Darren: Where’s the trash?
Cherry: here ill take that (Cherry puts it into an overflowing trash bin) hold
on a second I need to take the trash out
Darren: Alright
(Darren looks at the clock and it strikes 1:00, Darren looks away and then
looks back)
Darren: Fuck
(Darren quietly exits through the back door and hears Cherry scream, he sees
a man holding her at gunpoint)
Darren: (pulls out his pistol)
Man (Alley man): Holy Mary mother of god pray for our sinners now in the
hour of our…
(Gun shot is fired)
Alley Man: (Stands there for a couple of seconds, and then falls over)
(Strange man emerges from the shadows)
Cherry: Thank you, Thank You (Gives him as hug and starts to cry)
Darren: It’s alright (Hugs her and walks away)
Cherry: Darren, thank You, There must be something that I Can do to say
Thank You?
Darren: Coffee would be great, tomorrow at 8:00
Cherry: Sure, Thank You
Scene 13
(Darren sits at that same table as he did when he was waiting for Michelle,
Cherry walks in and waves at him, she sits down)
Cherry: Hi (gives him a hug and a kiss)
Darren: Hello
(They start to talk and there vices go silent, but there mouths keep moving,
they fall in love)
*Subtitles*: Four years later
(There is a wedding picture with Cherry and Darren)
Darren: Good Morning beautiful (Gives her a kiss)
(They both get ready for work, Darren opens the Door for Cherry and the
light out side is extremely bright)
(The door slams)
(Screen goes black)
