To Edit Photos in Photoshop!
To Rotate a Photo:
From the Image Menu, select “Rotate 90
Degrees left” to turn it to the left. Repeat and
select until your picture is upright.
You may also select “Rotate 90 Degrees to the
Right” to turn your image to the right. Repeat
and select until your picture is upright
To Crop a Photo:
1) Click on the “Crop” Tool in the tool box.
2) Aspect Ration, Width and Height will appear
at the top of your screen.
3) If you know the size you want your picture
to be, type in the width in the width box,
type in the height in
the height box.
4) You may hit enter and
it will automatically
make your crop box
that size.
5) If you want a normal size like 4x6, 5x7 or
8x10 you may click on “No restriction” and
scroll down to make your selection. Again
after you select your size, the crop box will
automatically change to that size.
6) You will now click and hold and drag your
mouse to select the area you would like to
crop. The area that is darkened will be
cropped out. You may use your mouse to
click on the outside boxes to change the size

7) To keep the crop you have selected , simply
click on the green check mark. If you don’t like
where it is cropped click the red X mark and try
again.
To Change The Color in your Photo:
1) From your “Enhance” Menu click on “Adjust
Color”.
2) Scroll down and click on “Adjust Hue/
Saturation.”
3) A pop up box will appear.
4) Use your mouse to click on the buttons,
move them to the left or right to change the
color.
5) When you are done click on OK.
Hue will change the color of your picture.
Saturation will change from color to Black and white.
Lightness will make your picture darker or lighter.
Click on Ok to change your image, click on
cancel if you don’t want to make any
changes.
To Draw using line in your photo.
1) Simply choose the “paintbrush” from your tool
Menu on the left.
2) You may change the paintbrush size at the top
Of your screen.
3) You may also change how light or dark your color
Appears by changing the opacity.
4) Click and drag over your photo to
draw.
To Drop in large amounts of color, or change an
existing color in your photo.
1) Click on the “Paint bucket” tool from your tool
menu on the left.
2) Scroll your mouse over your photo or image
and click to drop buckets of paint into your
picture.
To Change the color of your Paintbrush/Paint
bucket Tool.
1) Double click on the color swatch under your
tool box on the left. A pop up box will appear.
2) You may change the color by clicking and
pulling the arrows on the color line.
3) You may change the shade of your color by
clicking and pulling on the circle in the large
color box.
4) The color you have chosen will show up in the
top of the small square box on the right.
5) Click on Ok and you have successfully changed
your color.
If you make a mistake.
If you add something or draw on your photo and
want to undo, click on undo at the top right of your
screen.
If you keep clicking on undo it will take away the
last several changes you have made to your
picture.
If you change your mind simply click on redo and it
will bring it back.
To add a filter. (Filters will create different effects
over your photo. There are so many choices be
sure to try at least a few to get an idea of what
you can do.)
1) Filters are located on the right hand side of the
Photoshop screen. Double click on one of the
apple icons and it should open a pop up window.
2) If you are only able to view a small portion of
your picture look for the + and - sign on the
bottom left of the pop up window.
Click on the - sign until your whole photo appears.
This will give you a better idea of what your photo
as a whole will look like with the filter added.
3) You may move the buttons on the right hand
side around to change the filter.
If you want to change filters click on a different
apple icon on the right.
5) When you are pleased with your photo click on
OK.
6) You may layer your filters. Click
ok then simply click on another
apple icon, alter the photo and
hit ok again. This will layer the
filters on top of one another.
7) Reminder! If you don’t like a
filter you have added just click on
undo (instructions for this are on
the previous page.)
To Save your Photograph:
1) Once you are done, click on the file menu at the
top left.
2) From the Drop down menu select “Save As”, a
pop up box will appear. Scroll down and double
Click on Computer, Double click on “Shared (S):”
