Tech Savvy Camp for Girls
RISINg 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH gRADE gIRLS
The purpose of Tech Savvy Camp for Girls is to introduce middle school students to the field of information
technology. The goal is to provide a no-cost, safe and stimulating environment for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls
as they explore and enhance their skills without the pressure of grades and rivalry of boys. Embracing a hands-on
learning approach, the girls can apply their skills and their creativity towards a specific project. And similar to actual
workplaces in the field of information technology, the girls will learn to work effectively in teams. Lunch will not be
provided so the camper will need to bring a bagged lunch and drink each day. An afternoon snack will be provided.
