Collaborative Team Planning - Nov 5

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM back at the local school

A menu of suggestions for team planning/work is provided to foster:

• common understanding of the expectations of the standards,

• common and collaborative planning for lessons,

• identification of new/additional resources,

• shared development of a variety of assessments, and

• shared professional learning experiences.

A. Learn ways to integrate technology into standards-based lessons. Explore and review Tutorials and Resources at www.atomiclearning.com. Cobb's

login is your enumber and the password is 2007CCSD.

1) Click on Tutorials. Search by State Standards and Subject for how to's and projects.

2) Click on Resources > Lesson Accelerators, Video Storytelling, Storyboard Pro, etc. Search by State Standards and Subject for tips

on use and applications.

3) Need more info? Click http://www.cobbk12.org/instructionaltechnology/AtomicLearning/Letter_to_Staff.pdf

Consider how you might adapt the use of the software for your classroom? What prior knowledge, experiences, or pre-teaching might be necessary for

your students to successfully use the software?

B. Review the upcoming Unit Outlines for Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Select a subject area, a topic, and select a lesson to

discuss among your team. Provide suggestions to create or improve the activities for differentiation so that the lessons are more appropriate for your

less able students, your on level students, your more able students while still meeting the expectation of the standard.

C. By now, Quarterly Training information, resources, and strategies have been redelivered. What evidence reflects that the practices have been

implemented? What student products have been generated? Have each team member bring their evidence to share and discuss successes and

challenges.

D. Explore Think Math! Compare lessons on the upcoming math unit and reference lessons in the Harcourt text. What advantages are there to using
