        Over the last 16 years, I have amassed a wealth of experience supporting
computer and mobile device users of all skill levels, in a variety of industries, as well
as at a number of learning institutions. My focus is on Apple products, which is where
I offer the greatest expertise. I thrive on making technology work and helping users –-
especially creative types –- get the most out of their computers. I want to be part of a

Systems Support Analyst, ESPN, Inc., Bristol, CT -- Sept. 2005 to Dec. 2007
        Provided computer systems and network support at ESPN New Media for over
300 users around the country, at events such as X-Games, SuperBowl, USOpen and The
Masters Tournament. Served as the primary technician at multimedia presentations
for top company executives.
        Provided round-the-clock support for the content creation operations behind, the number one sports web site in the world. Was exposed to all aspects of
site management, content creation, content management, and media capture
(photography, podcasts, streaming video).
        Provided desk-side and remote support to users, via phone, email and remote
system control. Performed analysis and determination of best course of action, for
quickest problem resolution. Conducted research on and took part in decisions
regarding vendors, systems and solutions, and new technologies to adopt. Performed
workflow analysis and worked with users to identify the most efficient techniques to
“work smart.” Created comprehensive documentation for co-workers and end users
for highly technical processes and procedures.
        Platforms at ESPN included Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, Server 10.4, Windows XP, Vista
and Win2003 Server. Worked in network environment with Active Directory, Open
Directory and DNS servers, as well as Microsoft Exchange and LDAP.
        Setup and deployed Mac and PC systems for new users. Created MacOSX
system builds for user experience consistency. Created Windows system builds for
easy deployment of PC hardware and Windows virtual machines running on Apple
hardware. Deployed these VMs using both Parallels Desktop for Mac and VMWare
Fusion software packages. Managed Mac systems and the rollout of software via Apple
Remote Desktop.
        Worked daily on laptop, desktop and server hardware from Apple, HP, Compaq,
and IBM/Lenovo. Apple hardware experience included XServe, Mac Pro, PowerMacG5,
Mac Mini, iMac, PowerBook, and MacBook Pro systems. Also supported a wide range of
peripherals and printers, including many HP LaserJets.
        Provided support and user guidance for such software applications as Microsoft
Office, Adobe Photoshop / Creative Suite, Apple Final Cut Pro, Macromedia Studio /
Flash, Citrix. Worked with AT&T and Cisco remote access software (VPN).
Also supported conference rooms incorporating comprehensive A/V equipment and
Tandberg H.264-based teleconferencing systems.

Computer Consultant, Self-Employed, -- January 1996 to Current
       For 15+ years, I have been providing Macintosh computer consulting services to
hundreds of clients throughout Southern New England. Clientele ranges from single
proprietors to international corporations, including: Accenture, Dictaphone,
McCormick, Paulding, and Huber (Patent Law Firm), Decker Advertising, Moore Medical
Corporation, ReliaStar Financial (now part of I.N.G.).


Hardware: Strong Windows PC skills and expert level knowledge of Macintosh
systems. Experience with every product Apple has produced since 1984, including the
latest Intel-based systems and mobile devices. Skilled in assessing user and business
needs and selecting the appropriate laptop, desktop and server systems to provide the
most effective solution. Comprehensive expertise in troubleshooting and quick

Software: Experienced with Windows XP, Vista, 7 operating systems, plus
comprehensive knowledge of all Mac OS versions, including the current OSX 10.6.

smartphones and synchronization of user data with their companion desktop
applications. As well as having experience with a variety of portable electronics and
both video and still cameras.

Networks: Skilled in the design, installation, and configuration of wired and wireless
networks. Experienced with configuration of TCP/IP, broadband Internet connections,
routers, firewalls and Wi-Fi access points. Knowledgeable in setup and administration
of Mac servers including XServe. Experienced with a variety of tape backup systems
and BackupExec and Retrospect backup software packages. Familiar with a wide
variety of network printers, and highly experienced with HP LaserJets.

Internet: Knowledgeable in a wide variety of Internet protocols (POP, SMTP, FTP,
HTTP, etc.) and the related software clients (IE, Safari, Firefox, Outlook, Fetch,
WS_FTP, etc.). Experienced with web site design and maintenance (content
management systems, multimedia file formats, etc.).

       business. Most recently, attended a 3-day seminar on Macintosh deployment in
       Active Directory Environment, presented by Apple exclusively for Disney
