According to CBS News,
the fastest rising crime in America
is not terrorism.
The one crime that affects
more people today than ever
before is Identity Theft.
Each day
thousands of
people realize that
their personal
information has
been stolen and
used against them.
Alert!
Warning!
You too are a victim
of Identity Theft!
Your true identity
has been lost!
Your past experiences
and your surrounding
environment have
shaped your life.
The language you speak, the
food you eat, and the holidays
you celebrate have all been
determined by the culture you
live in.
This is your false identity.
You might think you are
an American, a
Christian, an Australian,
or an Atheist.
But, you are not.
You are more.
The criminals of society, religion, and
man have stolen your true self.
You are more than just a reader of the Bible.
YOU are part of the Bible.
The Scriptures are
your family’s
scrapbook.
Your real identity is found within
the pages of the Word.
you belong to Messiah, then you are
“If
Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise,” Galatians 3:29
The Greek word
translated “seed” is
“sperma,” which is
defined as a
“physical descendant.”
This means that if you belong to Messiah, then
you are not just a Spiritual heir of salvation.
You are, in all reality,
a physical descendent of Abraham!
Abraham lived thousands of years ago. He
was a man who heard and obeyed the voice
of the Creator. He was called out of his
homeland and into a walk of faith.
The Creator promised that Abraham
would have physical descendants
“as numerous as the sands on the sea
shore and the stars in the heavens.”
To Abraham the promise was made. “This
is my covenant with you: You will be the
father of many nations,” Genesis 17:4
This promise was passed to
Abraham’s son, Isaac. “For to
you and your descendants I will
give all these lands and will
confirm the oath I swore to your
father Abraham,” Genesis 26:3.
The promise was then given to
Isaac’s son, Jacob. “be fruitful
and increase in number. A nation
and a community of nations will
come from you, and kings will come
from your body,” Genesis 35:11.
Jacob, whose
name was
changed to
Israel, fathered
12 sons.
These 12 sons grew
and also fathered
families. Aftertime,
they became known as
the 12 families or the
12 Tribes of Israel.
Israel isn’t just a small sliver of land
in the Middle East.
And Israel isn’t just the Jewish people!
Israel is the family of Abraham. This family’s
bloodline has been scattered all over the world.
This is your true identity…YOU are an Israelite.
How could this be?
History proves that shortly after the rule of King
David, the nation of Israel was tragically split in two.
In 586BCE the two tribes that made up the Southern Kingdom
were taken captive by the Babylonians. 70 years later many of
these people returned to the Southern Kingdom, known as
Judah, and rebuilt the Temple. They kept the Law and sought
to worship as prescribed in the Hebrew Scriptures. Today,
the descendants from Judea are known as the “Jews.”
In 722BCE the Northern Kingdom, comprised of 10
tribes of Ephraim, were scattered by the Assyrians.
These Israelites mixed into the nations. Thus they
lost their identity and forgot their Hebrew heritage.
They continued to grow and
multiply, spreading their bloodline
all over the world. A recent
MSNBC article estimates over a
tenth of today’s population is
directly descended from this
group. Today they are known as
the “lost 10 tribes of Israel.”
As fulfillment to Biblical prophecy,
the lost tribes are slowly returning to
their Hebrew roots.
Thousands of people, all over the world, are realizing their identity.
Ezekiel 37:16-18, “Take a stick for
yourself and write on it:
'For Judah and for the children of
Israel, his companions.' Then take
another stick and write on it,
'For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim,
and for all the house of Israel,
his companions.’ Then join them
one to another for yourself into
one stick, and they will become
one in your hand.”
To restore the
Kingdom of Israel
is one of the
primary reasons
Messiah came.
“I was sent to seek
and save the lost
sheep of the house
of Israel,”
Matthew 15:24.
Since His ascension,
He has been gathering
the lost sheep to
Himself.
“Salvation is of the Jews,”
said the Savior in John 4:22.
This doesn’t mean that you must convert to
Judaism to be saved. This means the true
pathway of faith can be found within the lineage
and lifestyle of the Hebrews.
The Jewish people make up just a small
portion of greater Israel that has been
scattered all over the world. Being Israel isn’t
about being Jewish, but about recognizing
that “if you belong to Messiah, then you are
Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise,” Galatians 3:29.
You are an Israelite
You have a rich Biblical culture
waiting to be discovered.
All of the promises in the
Bible that were made to Israel
are for you. And all of the
commandments in the Bible
that were given to Israel
are also for you.
To Review…
Your life has been shaped by the surrounding influences of
your culture. This is your false identity, as you are
actually a direct descendent of Abraham.
The descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob number in
the throughout the Earth. They have been scattered
worldwide.
Ancient Israel was divided into two separate Kingdoms or
Houses: Judah/Jews and Israel/Ephraim. These two
houses have not been fully reunited.
Since His ascension into Heaven, the Savior has primarily
been gathering lost Israelites to Himself. This is your
true identity and purpose. Start learning more about
your heritage today!
Don’t be a victim of identity theft. Recognize
your culture and heritage as an Israelite.
