Instructions for: Comic Life
** Comic Life allows language students to create a cohesive story in a considerably short
amount of time—unlike other programs—while still leaving room for students to be just
as creative with their stories. This program functions primarily on the “drag and drop”
procedures and is greatly self-explanatory. **
1. Open up Comic Life from the desktop.
A blank document should open up.
2. Select a template from the “Page Templates” (under the “Libraries” menu
located on the right of the blank panel), and drag the template onto the
panel.
a. After the template is dragged and dropped, the “Album” menu will
automatically enlarge.
b. The templates can be altered/customized by removing
certain frames.
3. Place photos by simply dragging and dropping them into the frame of your
choice.
a. You may also drag and drop pictures from the desktop and other folders.
4. Drag and drop—from the bottom of the page—the speech bubbles, text box,
or “Lettering” (similar to the Word Art function in Microsoft Word) to
type**
a. Speech bubbles can be extended by dragging the “extend” speech bubble (on
the right) and dropping on the speech bubble you wish to extend.
5. Style of the frame and photograph and the background color scheme of the panel
can be altered using the “Style” button in the toolbar or by clicking on the “Details”
button next to the “Libraries” button (located in the right column).
