Senior Plan for College Admission
College choice should be decided by the end of the junior year or early senior year.
College choices should be based on some of the following. There are other considerations, which fit each
individual; however, these are some of the basics:
A. Choice of field of study
B. Cost (out-of-state schools often cost more)
C. Size of school/size of community/weather considerations
D. Distance from home
Students and parents might consider visitations to campuses to narrow the choices down to three. (stretch,
good match, safety schools)
If you are retesting it should be done at the end of the junior year or the beginning of
senior year.
(All Pomona students take the state ACT in the spring of their junior year)
Take the admission test (ACT) or (SAT). Review college choice to see which is required.
