Pre-registration for Fall 2009 FOR STUDENTS NEW TO THE PROGRAM IN THE FALL 2009 Placement decisions are based on either SAT II or AP scores, if you have them, or on the score of the Brown placement test (for more information, check the course catalog in BANNER, the CAB just published, or Placement and Course Description in the Hispanic Studies Website, http://www.brown.edu/Departments/Hispanic_Studies/undergraduate/placement.html IMPORTANT: The Brown Placement Exam can be taken on a walk-in basis at the Language Resource Center, Multimedia Lab, Room 201, second floor, CIT Building, 115 Waterman Street, on the following dates: Between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Friday, April 17 Between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday, April 20 Tuesday, April 21 • Note that you will not be admitted into any Spanish course other than the one in which you placed based on one of these measures. You MUST attend the first day of class in the course in which you placed and talk to your instructor or the course supervisor if you are concerned about your level. We will do our best to ensure you are appropriately placed. But please understand that ONLY the course supervisor of the course where you place can authorize you to change the level indicated by placement.
