Players are required to adhere to the academic eligibility requirements to participate in
the Fort Wayne High School Hockey Association (FWHSHA). These requirements are
detailed in Section II of the current by-laws:
Must be a regular, bona fide student in good standing attending a fully accredited school
in grades 9 through 12 or be home-schooled, as approved by the Indiana State
Department of Education, in grades 9 through 12.
Must have received passing grades in at least seventy percent (70%) of the subjects or the
equivalent during his/her last grading period, except that the semester grades take
precedence at the end of a semester; and, must be currently enrolled in at least five full
credit subjects or the equivalent. Grades from the previous grading period will be used in
determining eligibility at the beginning of the season.
Must adhere to rules and regulations of the player’s attending school, including eligibility
for extracurricular activities of such school. FWHSHA will honor and uphold all
suspensions and disciplinary actions levied by player’s attending school.
