Audrie Weinmann / Deadman Creek 4-H Club
Won’t Audrie Weinman from the Deadman Creek 4-H Club look great in her new
fabulous pink cotton blend apron with green turtles on the bottom of it. For her apron, she
decided to put a pink star ribbon on the neckline, held together with two D rings. When doing
the base of the apron she wanted to have it stand out so she decided on three unique colors
which entail a green turtle ribbon, then a brown ribbon and then for the top a starry pink to tie
it all together. On the front of the apron, she has a fun pocket split in two, so she can keep her
baking utensils in them. Audrie is looking forward to using her new apron to help her mom out
in the kitchen. This is Audrie’s 1st year in sewing and she had a wonderful time making her new
apron. Audrie is active in her 4-H Club, playing soccer and riding horses. Along with sewing for
the Fair Audrie is also bringing her sheep Butterfly to show in breeding class.

Kennedy Silrus / Silrus Family Farm 4-H Club
Kennedy sure will be warm in this 100% cotton flannel pajama on those cold Republic
nights. In her 1st sewing project Kennedy learned to carefully cut out a pattern on her own and
to watch the sewing machine to stitch a seam straight. Kennedy says this project was fun and
she is going to have lots of fun sewing the future. When Kennedy is not making things she is,
busy playing with her 6 brothers and sisters and helping her mom with the new baby. Good
job on your project Kennedy, your hard work has paid off.

Anna McCullough / Kritter Kids 4-H Club
Fall is just around the corner and Anna McCullough of Kritter Kids 4-H club is going to be
warm and cozy in her new bathrobe. She chose this lavender fleece fabric with colorful
butterflies, because she likes the color and wanted her robe to be fuzzy. Her robe has cuffed
sleeves, a hood and tied at the waist. She made it extra big so it would fit her as she grows.
Anna is wearing her Big Bear Paw slippers, just as she will on a cold winter morning at home.
The hardest part of this project was trying to sew straight on the bulky seams. Her favorite

Brittney’s halter-top shirt has an elastic band in the back to hold it just right. It has the
fashionable flared-out look in the bottom that gives her that little extra show. Brittney likes
polka dots so much that she found a pair of shoes that have the opposite colors they are
brown with pink polka dots. Brittney has also chosen to wear a skort with her top to keep her
cool on these hot summer days. When the evening rolls around all Brittney has to do is put on
a pair of

spending time with her family. This is Brittney’s 3rd year in sewing. Thank you Brittney and we

shirt. Alisha’s shirt has the sleeveless look with the tie around the back to hold
it just right. Her shirt also has a decorative drape that hangs down in the front. Alisha has
chosen to where her black capris with her shirt today, however when it starts to get chilly all
she had to do is add a pair of jeans and a light over jacket and she will be ready for the day.
She has also used a piece of extra material to make a ribbon for her hair to help set off the
polka dots. Alisha is looking forward to wearing her new shirt to school to show all of her
friends. Alisha enjoys 4-H, riding horses, camping, riding her 4-wheeler and hanging out with
family and friends. Alisha is also active in basketball and baseball. This Alisha’s 4th year in

Won’t Mackenzye be cozy drinking hot cocoa in her warm and fuzzy flannel nightgown?
Mackenzye learned how to lie out and cut out a pattern. She learned how to sew a good seam
and how to use fusible webbing; Mackenzye worked hard to complete her first clothing project
and is looking forward to sewing many more. She enjoys cooking, reading and spending time
with family and friends when she is not sewing. Mackenzye said this was a challenging project
but it was well worth it! Your patience paid off Mackenzye. Keep up the good work.

Mickayla Hall / Deadman Creek 4-H Club
What a beautiful cotton blend floral dress it must be Mickayla Hall from the Deadman
Creek 4-H Club. Mickayla is ready to go back to school with her lengthy new dress. This is
Mickayla’s first year in sewing and 4-H so to help her with her pattern she modified the back
and put in buttons to hold her straps down instead of a zipper she thought maybe on her
second year she could tackle a zipper. Mickayla’s dress has a white ribbon that ties in the front
to help accent her white flowers. Mickayla chose a pink material so it would match her pretty,
pink glasses when she went back to school. She chose to wear her flip-flops to show that her
dress can also be for casual as well as formal. Mickayla is so excited about joining in 4-H that
she brought along her market lamb Coconut who you can meet in the livestock barn. Mickayla
also enjoys riding her 4-wheeler and camping with her cousins. Thank you Mickayla

Junior Age Division:
Haley McRae / Adventure 4-H Club
Haley McRae from Adventure 4-H Club in Republic will sure be cozy in the winter when
she is wearing her wool and mohair scarf, smittens and hat. If she ever gets hot, she can put
her things in her lovely bag. Although her items were not meant to match they are all super
cute! Her first project was the pink, orange and green scarf. She learned the basic garter stitch
knitting all rows. She then advanced enough to move on to the wonderful bag. She knitted in
the round until it was large enough, then she learned to purl with specialty yarn. After the bag,
she decided to make the deep raspberry colored curl brimmed hat. With this hat, she learned
to use double pointed needles. It was hard at first, but the troubles paid off! Next, she started
on her smittens. These are fingerless gloves. She learned how to make a thumb gusset with
this project.
Haley beams with pride when her items are complimented and she gets to say, “I made them
myself!” Great job Haley
