to face meetings than you can in strings of emails or trying to explain things over a telephone. With VIA3
you can meet face to face any time with any of your online contacts.
VIA3 is a completely secure, web collaboration solution combining audio, video and instant messaging in
a convenient desktop offering. VIA3 offers users the ability to cut travel, lower long distance charges and
connect users across the globe with secure, private online meetings. VIA3 comes with everything you
need, integrated into one package, with an easy-to-use interface for you to get your job done efficiently.
VIA3 Features:
Audio: Hear others with quality audio over the Internet; no need for a phone. VIA3
delivers audio over the Internet with standard equipment such as desktop speakers or
a computer headset. There are no additional charges for conference calling or
separate phone connections since you no longer need the telephone to hear others in
your meetings. Unwanted sounds and echoes are prevented through automatic echo
cancellation. A visual cue shows who’s speaking at any time. While VIA3 optimizes
audio, you can adjust the volume of the meeting and individual participants.
Video: See other meeting participants in high-quality and real-time. Using almost any
webcam, meeting participants can make their video available for others to see. VIA3
video technology enables video to be sent and received from all participants, making
meetings more dynamic and interactive. VIA3 users can resize their video, upload a
still image, or pause their video at any time. All participants can also start and stop
other participants’ video in meetings. VIA3 uses the latest video compression
standard, H.264, to ensure the sharpest image and color. VIA3 delivers quality video
and audio while requiring less than half the bandwidth of older technologies.
Instant Messaging: Send and receive secure Instant Messages. You maintain a list of
people you contact frequently in your contact list. VIA3 automatically shows whether
each person is currently online, actively using their computer, or in a meeting. This
enables you to see if the person you want to talk to is available to chat. A simple
question may be answered by exchanging Instant Messages. You can add other
people to the instant message conversation at any time, or with a single click, turn it
into a meeting and leverage rich meeting tools such as audio, video and application
sharing. Just like everything else in VIA3, your instant messages are encrypted,
ensuring your privacy.
PowerPoint Presentations: Show a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to everyone in
the meeting. The rich features of PowerPoint slideshows are available to the presenter
exactly the same way as for conventional PowerPoint presentations. The presentation
is automatically scaled to fit each audience member's screen so that everyone sees the
entire slide without having to scroll. Small collaborative presentations will show the
video of all meeting members in the meeting; audio from all is heard by all. In large
webinars, audience video and audio are not shown/heard by default. The presenters
can use chat message feedback from the audience to pace the presentation similarly to
face to face meetings. In these larger meetings, the presenters can promote one or
more audience members to be a co-presenter at any time (for example: during a
question and answer session). This way, the entire audience can hear the question
being asked. Questions can also be submitted by audience members via the meeting
chat tool.

Schedule Meetings: This is the latest innovation to be added to the VIA3 software.
This allows users with a professional license to schedule VIA3 meetings at a later date
and time. You can add invitees from your own Contacts List, and you can track
responses from those invited. All of the Schedule Meeting features are accessed via
an easy-to-use web-based front end.
Whiteboard: Visually express ideas and comments with the ability to draw, mark-up
and save information or Screen Captures—bring anything you can see on your
computer into an online meeting. Visually express ideas using whiteboard features
such as the laser pointer, drawing and text tools. VIA3 Whiteboard files can be created
before, during, or after a VIA3 session and saved in a workspace for later reference.
Share Desktop: Securely share an application, a region of your desktop or your entire
Desktop. Share Desktop* enables you to demo a new software application, share a
web page or show a complex engineering drawing. Participants watch in real time as
you open files, make changes and more. On Windows Vista (and later) everyone in the
meeting can also hear the applications you share, which means you can use it to show
movie clips. You can allow control of your computer to another in the meeting so that
they can control the application you’re sharing. You can take back control at any time.

Workspaces: Workspaces are a secure web-based portal designed to connect users
in one easy to use location. Create online workspaces where files and folders can be
securely shared. You have control over which files to share and who has permission to
those files. Alerts notify you of changes. Members can view and post information,
share files, maintain version control, organize meetings, post discussions and get work
done regardless of their geographic location.
Conduct Polls: Online polls allow meeting members to offer instant feedback to
questions posed in a meeting. Polling can be used to reach a consensus or determine
a baseline from which to move forward. Create on-the-fly single or multiple response
polls to make your online meeting more interactive. Polling in a VIA3 meeting is easy
to initiate, and you can share the results in real time. Once the meeting is over you can
save the responses for future reference.
Recording: Record your meetings, including audio, video & Share Desktop sessions;
download and save recorded meetings for later use. Once your meeting has finished,
you can access it from a secure website. Any meeting host can stop or start the
recording by clicking the "Record Meeting" button. If a Desktop Sharing session is
started, it is automatically recorded in preference to the video. When the meeting has
finished, recordings are available to any meeting host, and the recording can be made
available to anyone. Recordings are stored as MP3 audio and WMV audio/video files.

Webinars: Invite more than a thousand to a meeting. You can
decide if participants can use all the VIA3 features for a truly
collaborative session or limit access if presenting to a large
audience where bandwidth may be limited. VIA3 generated
Meeting ID numbers and passwords ensure your information
remains secure. Temporary users can join a VIA3 meeting
and have access to VIA3 features for the duration of the
meeting.
VIA3 Administration:
IT departments: Easily turn on and off key VIA3 functionality on an individual or account basis.
Co-branding: Easily replace the VIA3 logo with your own logo for a customized look and feel.
FIPS 140-2 Certification: The VIA3 cryptographic module has been certified to meet Federal
Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 1, a government standard for cryptographic
