A Prophecy for the Church.
This prophecy was given by a prophet with a genuine and proven prophetic ministry. I have removed the
prophet’s name to prevent any difficulties or embarrassment.
This prophecy was given at a minister’s meeting in 1988. The prophet had never previously met me, and knew
nothing about me, other than my first name, Bill. There had been no conversation with him before the meeting, or
before the prophecy. Indeed, I was a complete stranger to him, and this is what makes the prophecy so powerful
and compelling, for the details were so very accurate.
Several of us talked with this prophet after the meeting and prophecy, during which we discussed certain aspects of
the Scriptures and Christian experience. As a result of this discussion, the prophet said that he understood why He
had prophesied that I was, “a teacher with a prophetic voice.”
This prophecy is much more than a personal prophecy for myself, it contains an important message for the Church
of Jesus. The prophecy reveals that God was about to start a new season of blessing for His Church, and is in the
process of preparing new leaders in His Church for this new season.
The prophet spoke to me directly in the meeting, and prophesied as follows. “Bill, this is a prophecy for you.
You have been despised and rejected of men, saith the Lord. Man has not understood you; man has not wanted the
depths of understanding I have given to you. And while I am giving new understanding concerning this day of
my Church in the world, you will see that I am opening up the hearts, preparing the ground of the hearts, of
many of my leaders, saith the Lord, and new leaders that I am raising up; and you will see a desire in your
heart, for what I have shown you to come into manifestation.
You will see that while you thought that you were a man out of season, that, no, saith the Lord, it is just that
the season had not yet dawned, but this is the dawning of a new day, saith thy God, and this is the
beginning of a new season for my Church, and I have had you in preparation, saith the Lord.
And while sometimes the frustration and agony of rejection, and being misunderstood and maligned has been so
great, that your own tears of grief and bitterness have been upon your own bed, but, behold, they have not fallen
meaninglessly to the ground, as it were, but your tears have been as a memorial; I have remembered, saith thy
God, and I will begin to move in new ways, and open up the hearts, and open up new doors, but you shall
not please men. The struggle in your own heart, to please me, or to please men, let it be resolved, in this season,
once and for all, saith the Lord, so there is no double-mindedness, and you will not fear the face of men, but you
shall speak beholding Me, the Author and Finisher of your faith. You shall speak My Words of life and truth.
Speaking the truth in love, saith the Lord, be not concerned about their reaction. It is not through
manipulation and contrivances, it is not by dulling the sword, that the flesh is cut away, saith thy God. Iron
sharpens iron, and I would place a sharp sword in your hand, do not dull it with what you think is love, or
would somehow be able to minister truth in a way that would by palatable, or acceptable, in spite of flesh.
No, My Word is a sharp, flaming, two-edged sword; it will go forth and divide, what is of the soul, and what
is of the Spirit. That is my life-giving sword, saith thy God, so do not dull it, with trying to add soulish love,
and trying to gain the favour of man, but speak the truth in love from your heart, wherein I dwell, and
wherein this sword has been fashioned, saith the Lord.
And you will see a victory come forth, and a clarity, not only in the lives and minds of leaders, but in my
body, so that they might discern the will of God, that they might separate themselves from the traditions of
men, preached as the commandments of God, which have made their worship in vain, and made My Word of
none effect, saith the Lord. My Body is built, edifies itself in, and by, the speaking of the truth in love, and I
will make you that spokesman, as a teacher, even with a prophetic voice, saith the Lord.”
I trust, and pray, that this prophecy will bring the same enlightenment and encouragement to fellow
Christians, as it has brought and communicated to myself. This prophecy has already been fulfilled in some
considerable measure by the conversions of millions of people in Africa and elsewhere. God is moving, and
about to move with even greater power and revelation gifts. God is going to empower His Church and
prepare it for the dark days just ahead in the closing years of this age. W. H. Turner. Dec. 15 th. 2004.
