UCR’S EASTSIDE COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE UCR’s Eastside Community Collaborative combats the effects of poverty and violence through education, mentoring and arts. The Collaborative was formed in response to escalating violent crime rates. Former UCR Chancellor Raymond Orbach convened civic leaders to build solutions aimed at families and youth, in order to help heal a traumatized community. Today, the Collaborative includes the “Safe Havens” afterschool program at several area schools, the Multicultural Arts Center (MAC) at the Cesar Chavez Community Center and the “Youth's Corridor to the Future Program.” A snapshot of University of California programs and services in your district It starts here UC alumni in this district: 2,973 Senate District 32 — Nell Soto – D, Ontario ENLACE (Engaging Latino Communities for Education) ENLACE is a UC Santa Barbara sponsored initiative aimed at strengthening the educational pipeline and increasing opportunities for Latino’s to enter and complete college.
