UWS Wireless Network - First Time Logon to the Student Wireless Network Using Windows 7.
Untick TCP IPv6
Left click on the Win7 network icon. 2. Then Open Network and Sharing centre.
Click on Local area connection.
Next click properties. Finally untick IPv6, follow by ok and close.
Selecting the student wireless network for the first time will fail authentication.
Select Open Network and Sharing Centre.
Select Manage Wireless Networks.
Select add
Select manually connect to a Wireless Network and manually create a network profile.
Enter Details as below
Select next
Select Change Network Connections
Select Security
Ensure Microsoft Protected EAP (PEAP) selected.
Select Settings
Uncheck Validate Server Certificate
Select Configure
Uncheck Automatically use my Windows Logon name and password
Select OK then OK
Select Wireless Network Connections.
Connect to Student
Logon using: uws-student\banner id and password
You should now be connected to the UWS Student Wireless Network.
