Chapter 1: Castle in the Attic
As you read chapter 1 you need to pay attention the three most important parts of any
story: setting (where and when the story takes place), the characters, and the plot.
Setting
The setting of a story is when and where the story takes place. The setting at the
beginning of Castle in the Attic is different at the beginning of the story than it will be

At the last moment, just as her large arms where encircling him, William
