  Tomatoes are a rich source of antioxidants that have proven effective against various
                   forms of cancer. Some other benefits of tomatoes

     Abundant source of antioxidants: Tomatoes contain large amounts of lycopene, an
    antioxidant that is highly effective in scavenging free radicals cause cancer. These
    benefits can be obtained from even the heat-processed tomato products, including
ketchup. The lycopene in tomatoes fight against cancer and have proven very effective in
  fighting prostate cancer, cervical cancer, gastric cancer and rectal and pharyngeal and
   esophageal cancer. It also protects against breast cancer and oral cancer according to
               research published by the Harvard School of Public Health.

  Reduce Cholesterol and Protect Heart: The lycopene in tomatoes prevents oxidation of
   lipids in the blood, thus exerting a protective effect against cardiovascular disease.
 Regular consumption of tomatoes has been shown to reduce levels of LDL cholesterol
 and triglycerides in the blood. Lipids are the main culprit in heart disease and lead to
                           deposition of fat in the blood vessels.




  Rich source of Vitamins and Minerals: A single tomato can provide about 40% of daily
   vitamin C requirement. Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant that acts against cancer-
causing free radicals. It also contains lots of vitamin A and potassium and iron. Potassium
plays an important role in maintaining healthy nerve and iron is essential for maintaining
  normal blood health. Vitamin K is important in blood clotting and control bleeding is
                                    abundant in tomatoes.

      Overcoming Cigarette smoke effects: The two main components of tomatoes,
  coumaric acid and chlorogenic acid, against nitrosamine produced in the body and the
                      main carcinogens found in cigarette smoke.

       Improve Vision: Vitamin A, present in tomato aids, help in improving vision,
                preventing night blindness and macular degeneration.

   Continue to Gut Healthy: Tomatoes maintain a healthy digestive system by preventing
both constipation and diarrhea. It also prevents jaundice and effectively removes toxins
                                      from the body.

      Lowering Hypertension: consuming tomatoes reduce the risk of hypertension.

     Reduce Diabetes: A study conducted by the Journal of the American Medical
   Association showed that consumption reduces oxidative stress in type 2 diabetes.

   For Healthy Skin: Tomato helps in maintaining healthy teeth, bones, hair and skin.

  tomato also protects the skin against UV-induced erythema. Tomatoes have a high
                    ranking in the preparation of anti-aging products.

                     urinary tract infections and bladder cancer.
