Please note: Programs that require extra staff or materials have a $2 fee per child.
Also all NON-FAIRFAX county schools have a $2 fee per child. Payment is due
on the scheduled program date. No programs are offered on Tuesdays.


HOLE WORLD- What animals live in holes? See a puppet play and listen to a story.
Take a hike to search for cavity critters. Discover what animals live in the high-rises of
the forest.

ALL ABOUT ANTS- Explore the world of these amazing insects. Become part of an ant
colony, learn their life cycle and make a craft to take home.

MORNING BIRD WALK
Discover the birds that reside along the Accotink Stream Valley. Warblers, owls and
hawks can be seen. Bring binoculars. Meet at Prosperity Avenue parking lot. Cancelled in
case of rain. FREE
Location: Eakin Community Park, Hidden Oaks Nature Center
Time: 7-9 AM

Hidden Oaks Nature Center is located in Annandale Park at 4020 Hummer Road in
Annandale. Inside the nature center, visitors will find natural and cultural history
exhibits, a library, and an auditorium. A naturalist is always available during operating
hours to answer questions.
