Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician who lived
c.a. 1120-1240.
He traveled a lot on business with his father and was
exposed to many different mathematical techniques
in arithmetic, algebra, and geometry, used throughout
the world, which he collected in books for people to
learn without having to travel the world.
Fibonacci also wrote a book called “Liber Abaci”
which introduced Aribic numerals into European
mathematics.
