Dress for marching practice: t-shirt, shorts, athletic shoes and socks. Do not wear jeans, or footwear other than

athletic shoes. This is mandatory. You will not be allowed to march barefoot or with inappropriate footwear.

You must keep a shirt on at all times. Shorts need to be of appropriate length. Hats and sunglasses are

recommended. It’s a good idea to bring a change of shirts for the afternoon, and an extra pair of shorts in case of

emergency. There will be consequences for failure to comply with this dress code for rehearsal . Check out the

white board each day for announcements, information and updates.

Also, use sunscreen and bug spray as needed. Bring your own water or sports drinks. Don’t rely on soft

drinks. We will provide additional water, but make it your responsibility to remain hydrated. Please eat

breakfast before arriving, and consider bringing a healthy snack for breaks. We know from experience that

band members who do not eat often get ill or queasy during morning rehearsals. Bring your break meal. You

may not leave school during the breaks.

The football coaches have brought to my attention that it is noticeably hotter and more humid on our turf

practice field. Students will need to take steps beginning NOW to acclimate themselves to hot, humid weather.

All students should take opportunities for regular aerobic based exercise and activities outside as much as

possible. I am urging each individual to purchase or use an individual 2 gallon thermos to bring to each rehearsal

at mini camp, throughout the summer, and band camp. Fill it with ice and water. You can refill it when

necessary. That will be much more effective than standing in line for a cup of water provided by the band.

PLEASE TAKE THIS WARNING SERIOUSLY!

Please review your rehearsal schedule. The times are the actual beginning and ending time of practicing.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before rehearsal begins, so you are ready to rehearse at the starting time. We end

on time. Please have your ride pick you up within 15 minutes of the scheduled end of rehearsal.

We are looking forward to an exciting year with the Band of Wolves. Make sure you are doing everything

you can to help put together an entertaining and competitive performance.
