MILLBURN DISTRICT 24 EDUCATION
FOUNDATION
11th ANNUAL
“MARCH MADNESS”
Mardi Gras Dance and Benefit Auction
Midlane Golf Resort
March 12, 2011
Millburn District 24 Education Foundation
A Letter from the President
Here we are with the start of another year, with new challenges and new opportunities. As budget reductions,
referendums and other cost saving measures begin to have their impact, it is important we continue to support
the fundraising initiatives of both the Foundation and the PTO’s.
Since its formation five years ago, the Foundation Board has worked diligently to build an organization
committed to enriching the learning experience of our children by enhancing the district’s resources through
community involvement. Over the last five years, the Foundation has raised close to $160,000 through events
such as March Madness and the Annual MEF Golf outing. Almost $145,000 has been granted to support
programs like college scholarships, Camp Timberlee, Library programs, PTO sponsored Fine Arts programs
and the 8th grade Springfield trip. All of this is possible through the commitment of time and treasure of the
parents, businesses and friends of Millburn District 24.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, contributions to the Foundation may be tax deductible. Remember, all funds
raised are used to support and subsidize important programs and creative ways to sustain our children’s
learning experience. Please visit the Foundation’s website www.MEF24.org for more details on the programs
supported over the past five years and for opportunities to support our efforts.
If you are in a position to support the Foundation’s efforts, please feel free to write us at info@MEF24.org. The
Foundation is looking for volunteers to help us turn a great school district into an exceptional district!
Thank you for your commitment to the Millburn District 24 Education Foundation. Please feel free to contact
any of the Board members with questions or comments.
Bob Soderlund
President
Millburn District 24 Education Foundation
To the District 24 Community,
Welcome to the 11th Annual March Madness – Millburn Mardi Gras. This year the Auction Committee
has planned another extraordinary evening. On behalf of the District 24 Education Foundation, I would
like to personally thank each and every volunteer who put in the time and energy to make the 2011
March Madness Dance and Benefit Auction a success. I truly could not have done it without you!
I would also like to extend my appreciation to the District 24 families who made donations to our
beautiful baskets, District 24 sports memorabilia, and each grade project.
It has been a pleasure to manage this year’s auction. I hope you all have a wonderful evening! Thanks so
much for supporting District 24!
